McAfee is the best Anti-virus and Security solution..

Nothing to be dislike for about McAfee as this is the best.

It Solve the problem of managing the entire security solution from different platform .

McAfee ePO is the best available tool in the market to handle handle IT and related operations like Patching Activities, Agent and Engine Updates. Overall it improves endpoint security

It consumes a lot of system resources while taking actions.

It improves organisation security posture and is very easy to install and manage devices.

It is an centralized Endpoint Protection Tool. It makes risk and compliance management easier

One of the best reporting, we can create and pull custom reports.

ePO doesn't have active-standby architecture.

ePO doesn't have High Availability architecture.

Maintaince of DB is bit tedious job, you are SMB or Enterprise customer, you will required SQL specialist to maintain ePO DB.

Before setting up McAfee ePO, make sure all required ports are open through firewall.

Use recommended server configuration depending on number of nodes.

Use tagging feature for phase wise rollout of any McAfee components.

We can manage all the McAfee Security Components from a single console, which includes Product Deployment, Policy Management and Reporting.

We can find unmanaged systems through ePO and deploy McAfee Agent and other components to meet compliance.

We can well manage roaming users through Agent Handler.

With visibility of the latest agent-to-server communication, we can identify inactive agents.

It has the complete inventory of vulnerable assets, devices and systems in a single console where EPO agents are installed. The implemented policies are always synced with the agent systems perfectly if the systems are online.

After implementing the policies in the agent systems and if the desired changes failed through the policies, no error comes in the console. Then would require the logs review from the local system end and further tuning of the policies.

McAfee is solving the endpoint system security from a centralized console. The applied security controls are easily managed for roaming agents and organization network endpoint systems.

Mcafee EPO is All-in-one solution. I used it in one of my projects (Kimberly Clark). The dashboard is very informative and user-friendly.

I used EPO to fetch reports but it is really slow. so i think this is one of the improvement areas.

Centralized management for all McAfee solutions -- endpoint security, drive encryption, file and removable media protection, data loss prevention, application control, etc.

The graphic user interface is quite a bit old as compared to the other platforms in the market. I recommend an upgrade. Also, sometimes I get a problem with the Product Deployment tab.

McAfee ePO is best suited for anyone who wants central visibility and management of their security posture.

Centralized management, single agent, policy configuration for all groupings, client tasks for package and extension deployment, complete visibility of the entire security detail.

One of the most flexible AV management tool with plethora of admin tasks being automated. A lot of options are available to configure the product as per requirement.

No issues so far apart from the quality of documentation. The documentation has now been made very limited as to how detailsled it was for 4.x & before. Operationally the product is awesome.

We're managing the host based security for the environment with AV, FW, IPS, App Control, DLP, Client Proxy etc. We've realized that it's more appealing for us to go with other Mcafee product just because of the ePO inegration capability.
