I really like Markforged's ability to print composite parts reinforced with carbon fiber, it offers incredible resistance.

The initial cost of printers and materials are major drawbacks compared to other technologies.

Markoforged solves the problem of slow traditional supply chains and the need for extremely expensive parts.

What's truly impressive is the strength of the parts it produces. Markforged printers are the only ones capable of continuously integrating carbon fiber or Kevlar (CFF), resulting in parts as strong as aluminum. The interface (the Eiger software) is incredibly user-friendly; you upload the file, and the machine does the rest.

The downside is that the machine is expensive to buy, and the proprietary materials (filament spools) are also quite costly to use. The printing speed is often slower than other conventional FDM technologies due to the reinforcement process. It requires a fairly significant initial investment.

Markforged solved the problem of manufacturing strong end-use parts without traditional machining. It allows me to produce extremely robust tools and jigs on-site in just a few hours. The major advantage is that it speeds up production and saves us a significant amount on lead times and subcontracting costs for small production runs.

The material is a tad pricey, Also the lack of compatible materials with different properties is somewhat of an annoyance.

A web app to monitor prints while away from the office would be helpful and could be done by a summer intern for crying out loud. (trying to use your mobile chrome browser to log into Eiger is giving me flashbacks from the early 90s internet)

It would also be helpful if you could pause the print at certain key features in your model if you wanted to use the system to overmold onto existing parts.

This company impressed me from the moment I discovered them. I believe it was at SEMA. Working with an automotive engineering firm we often need to engineer parts without over-engineering them and 3D printing is a valuable source for us.

This company has particularly been on the cutting edge of technology and keeps us informed of current trends and new technologies though webinars, industry shows and informative emails. Their education and communication has been valuable in bridging the technology to my team.

The technology doesn't quite reach the level we need with some of the materials, but I know it's coming and Markforfed will likely be the first to let us know when it is attainable.

While the printers are excellent in quality and part finish, the best part of owning a Markforged printer is the customer support. No printer is perfect, but when an issue does come up their support team is always quick to reply with exactly the solution needed.

If there's one aspect I do not like about Markforged printers it's the lack of configurability on their slicer program, Eiger. Most of the time the preconfigured settings work fine, but sometimes there are settings that need to be changed that can't be changed.

On the other hand, I am surprised at how fast it adapted to our work, it is a really simple tool to adjust, once configured and synchronized it is possible to use it with my work printer and adjusted to the cloud of my system.

It is a simple tool to use, in an excellent way, it provides the right tools to make everything run smoothly and efficiently, with a robust interface and powerful design features. On the other hand, configuring it we believed would be more complicated, however, I provide the appropriate material so that the entire customization process is quick and easy. Along with this, customer support is very responsible in their assistance.

Do not think twice, although not everyone knows about Markforged, I assure you that it is a great tool with a lot to give.

It is a simple tool, without so many complications of use but with great potential in its functionality. It was very useful to us when printing our 3D prototypes, optimizing all our printing and manufacturing options. It supports us in every process and provides us with a reliable and safe system, in addition to a variety of options, ease of use and speed in each job we do. I like the innovativeness of the software, something that almost no other software offers; also how incredibly easy it is to include it in my work system. The software allows me to design various prototypes quickly and dynamically, then create the main imagen and make it real through 3D priting, ehich I can do with great and economical materials, such as onyx, nylon and carbon, which are resistant and quality. I like how easy synchronize it to the cloud, whenever I need them. It has tools that cover every function you need to perform, it has a unique and innovative interface.

I have nothing to complain about, I don't find negative aspects, it seems to me that the design, creation and priting flow in a dynamic and bold way, making the whole process simple, although complex, it can make everything much easier and faster. Customer support is always there to answer any questions we have, it provides the best solutions. The tools are complete and cover every function we need, as well as hoy easy it is to configure and customize adapting everything to our work system.

Maybe it can be a bit complex to handle, to configue each and every one of the options according to my design requirements is not as simple as I imagine, it is always necessary to better develop the customization so that each prototype is unique and incomparable. I have tried as much as possible to detail each function that I develop with the software so that in this way everything I work on has my mark, if possible, but it is more complex that I expected. Thanks to the guides and tutorials every day it is easier to get by in the software and with the constant customer support, in the search dor quick solutions, the fluidity in my work is now less complex to obtain.

Being able to print a part which is incredibly superior in strength, and it performs exceptionally, Markforged cannot be beaten. Doing our parts by creating prototypes and end-use parts from things such as continuous carbon fiber is the biggest thing that will revolutionize our design ever.

Markforged printers are difficult and meticulous to satisfy with the feeds. This particular feature may, however, pose as the machine's setback since its materials offering of the filaments is still a bit compared to some other FDM printers. This can be a hassle when a project depending on some particular material is being made.

Markforged makes even my rough prototypes complete workpieces that couldn’t be made in FDM printing as well.
