A great alternative to Windows - Linux Mint , a beginner friendly linux system.

What do you like best about Linux Mint?

It was very beginner-friendly and included GUI settings, which helped me avoid feeling overwhelmed by the terminal in my early days of using Linux Mint. One of the biggest upsides of Linux Mint is that it’s super easy to set up and use, and it’s also simple to customize to my preferences.

What do you dislike about Linux Mint?

I integrated my setup with the Arduino IDE for ESP32, and it worked without any issues. Performance-wise, it feels faster compared to Windows. In terms of pricing, it’s completely free to install, and there’s no need to purchase a license. The Linux Mint community is huge as well, so getting help and support from fellow users is easy.

What do you like best about Linux Mint?

Linux Mint is a Linux-based operating system, so it’s very reliable and not too demanding on resources. It runs on very low system requirements, which means I can use it on very old systems as well. Linux Mint also has an online community, and if there’s any issue, the community helps very quickly.

What do you dislike about Linux Mint?

Unlike the older Linux style, which used to have a more limited GUI, Mint now has a well-optimized graphical interface. Linux also has strong software support now, with many apps available that work fine on Linux Mint. There’s a store where I can download the software I need with one click.

What do you like best about Linux Mint?

I love that it’s open source, and I really appreciate the strong community that supports it.

What do you dislike about Linux Mint?

Coming from another operating system, it can take a little time to get used to how some things work. Also, some very specific software may not work at all.

What problems is Linux Mint solving and how is that benefiting you?

I struggled with intrusive ads and data tracking on other platforms, but Linux Mint provides a private alternative. Now, I can do my work without any distraction which really benefits my productivity.

Linux Mint-Stable and User Friendly OS

What do you like best about Linux Mint?

Mint feels comfortable right away. Its run fast even and older laptops or low specification systems. The Cinnamon interface looks modern, clean and easy to customize without breaking anything. mint comes with most essentials already installed browser media player, office tools, update manager you can start immediately.

What do you dislike about Linux Mint?

Linux Mint is very stable and user-friendly, but it can also feel a bit conservative because software updates and new features tend to arrive more slowly compared to other distributions. Some commercial apps aren’t available natively, so I sometimes need to use workarounds to get everything I want running.

Linux Mint provides a lightweight and reliable operating system that helps reduce costs. It runs smoothly on older hardware, improves overall system performance, and offers strong security through regular updates. It’s also easy to use for daily work, productivity, and development.
