I’m grateful to be able to use it, and overall everything is very impressive.

I don’t dislike anything about it, but sometimes it works slowly.

It’s useful for my daily work, and it’s important for getting my work done.

It allows me to integrate chemical and mathematical formulas into my texts easily and with an especially aesthetic appearance. It also helps me structure my writing effectively using its templates

At the beginning, learning the commands, especially for customizing graphs can be complicated, and understanding the structure may be difficult. This means it takes some time and practice before one can finally use it effectively

Integration of tables, graphs, and chemical and mathematical formulas in an easy and aesthetic way when producing text especially academic writing in my case.

I can design a layout that is very professional and can also handle many documents well. I have no problems when the final product goes to print.

I am still looking for editors, like the emails, but with more features like Kile.

You can write math very fast and it takes zero time to learn. Every person writting math or code should learn it!

The installation is sometimes a bit timeconsuming however recently it has become much easier even for language packages. There are also solutions to run it online eg overleaf

Typesetting mathematical text and score music!

Latex is very helpful for preparing the documents. It has high quality typesetting system. Which makes you feel so ease on formatting the document. In this you can add all the packages in one file and include the files and run. So no need to add the packages in all the files.

If the document as more files, then it takes more time to compile.

LaTex has a wide variety of templates, which saves times. And also you can download templates for journals, conference, textbooks etc. And you can also prepare PPT's with Latex.

In LaTeX we can create our own styles, and we can use any time. LaTeX has more templates, using this templates. Saves time.

Writing scientific texts with latex is easy and totally recommended. Latex offers its main power when you need to write formulas because you can include any symbol. Thus, you can write complex equations easily. You only need patience.

The general aspect of a text written with Latex seems more professional than the result from using other products. Besides, reading a text made with Latex is more comfortable.

I would like to declare that I am writing this review from the perspective of someone who does not have extensive coding experience. LaTeX has been a fantastic package to use. I would suggest its formatting as its best feature. Formatting in LaTeX goes hand in hand with its magnitude of customizability. It is very different than "What you see is what you get" editors. Instead, it is a "What you make is what you get" software package. To every detail of a document, you have virtually unlimited control for the appearance of your document. Margins are easy to figure out and the document that you create will look better than any document you have created using other editors.

There is not much to dislike about LaTeX, but it does have its cons. For example, if you were to send over a document to a colleague for editing, unless they are familiar with the software package, they may not know how to edit your document. The power of collaboration in LaTeX is only possible when involved in a group with similar expertise. Also, there is no way for LaTeX to suggest alternatives for spelling errors. Documents are intended to be meticulously crafted in LaTeX and may not be quickly altered in a rush.

Feel free to just play around with the software! What I used to do was find a complex mathematical equation and attempt to reproduce it in LaTeX.

Whenever a document needed to have a grade of professionalism a step above WYSIWYG editors, I would always use LaTeX. For example, my first encounter with the software package was in college, when we were putting together a proposal to change a policy at my university. We wrote a PDF of our proposed policy and sent it out to key contacts at the university. It was easily disseminated with minimal error, as formatting would not change depending on the version of Microsoft Word you had installed on your computer. It was a professional document that academics were used to looking at. It has also greatly helped with professional markdowns for documents and deliverables for classes in college.

Latex produces beautiful PDFs for mathematical papers.

Sometimes the errors are hard to fix, especially when they are due to packages missing.

A bit complex for newbies, I would say. But once learned is very user-friendly.
