The ability to switch between entities (partnership, s-corporation, etc...) with keyboard shortcuts. Automatic save upon exit is extremely helpful!

Doesn't switch to Corporate with Alt+C like it says it should..or at least I've never been able to get it to.

I like how easy it is to use. Migrating between screens is simple and the diagnostics test when finished helps check for errors or missed items. The entry process overall is easy to use as well. They also have great support to help you with any issues you have. Anytime I have called for assistance they take the time to focus on you and work through your issue until it is solved. This program is easy to learn and easy to teach to new employees as well.

I am not fond of the popups that invade the screen every time I login in. You can easily hide them but its an extra step. I also wish updates could be performed on only the states you use as updating every state every time there is an update is time consuming. The cost is also slightly higher than similar products.

If you are looking for a program that is easy to use and has superior support than Lacerte is the program for you. It is more costly then other products available but the benefits outweigh the upfront cost. If you pay earlier in the year you do get a discount as well.

It is an efficient and user friendly program for entering client information whether they are for individuals or for a corporation the program is straight forward and easy to teach to employees. It prints out reports that are valuable to my clients.

It takes some time to familiarize yourself with the software.

It takes a very long time to use some of the other tax software available if you are trying to run a successful tax consultation business. Lacerte helps you process the return very quickly.

Its a good software for expert tax preparers. I am an expert working at cogneesol and i saw all tax experts at cogneesol are working comfortably with intuit's lacerte.

Designed for small or medium sized businesses, not for large scale tax preparation.

I would always recommend Lacerte software to my professional friends and business entrepreneurs as its the best one to handle the complexity and maintains accuracy.

Lacerte is good to use because of it's user friendly interface. It can easily handle multiple tasks effectively and provides different functionality for reporting procedures.

This is premium quality software. It has all the bells and whistles and can handles the most complex tax returns.

It is direct entry. You should probably have a strong accounting background or take lots of specific training in order to use this software most effectively.

Again be ready to face a learning curve. This isn't a click and go type of product.

I like the ability to jump around to different forms and then input my tax numbers directly into the space by double clicking the applicable form. I also like the tax summary feature, this allows me to compare quickly different tax years and get a birds eye view of the tax return.

I would like the option to be able to proforma backwards in time. Currently you can only pro forma forwards. i do not like the fact that I have to buy a subscription to BNA to do more detailed research and to get more estate planning forms.

If you are a medium size practice, with 1000 to 3000 clients that are not over 10 to 20 million, lacerte is a great option.

I have been able to do more returns than ever by using Lacerte. I can keep my labor costs down because Lacerte is so efficient, my employees can do more work.

Lacerte provides best price for small business and self employed tax professional.

I often found that Lacerte AMT calculation is off including AMT depreciation.

I use Lacerte to do the projection for the clients. It is better than BNA cost-wise and accuracy-wise.
