Kepion is a versatile tool that can be used in different aspects. I'm still waiting for an issue or feature request that I haven't been able to build into it Kepion which shows the range of the tool. It's also user friendly and our experience shows that it's easy to get people on board and to use the tool to their advantage.

Nothing really. Would maybe be nice to have more prebuilt functionalities regarding allocation.

Providing a very good centralized platform that speeds up budgeting/forecasting. Preparing a budget for the FP&A lead takes a matter of hours instead of weeks.

Kepion’s upside: extreme flexibility—you can start simple and tailor deeply to each organization’s processes. The UI/layout is clean and user-friendly, so builders and end users pick it up fast.

Kepion’s main downside is its reliance on SSAS OLAP: you have to manage cube processing and admin overhead, need scarce MDX/SSAS skills, real-time updates are less slick than modern in-memory engines, and you’re more tightly locked into the Microsoft stack.

It is helping organizations to minimize the use of Excel in their budgeting. All the data is in one place, keeping reports updated.

What I like most about Kepion is the ability to work with different business processes and always find an appropriate and efficient solution to the budgeting problems that different clients have. It allows structuring a business process and achieving a secure consolidation of data.

I think as a developer I would like some functionalities, such as moving information from one bucket to another, to be automated and made more effective in a more agile way. Also, to be able to generate massive ABMs (for users) to simpler dimensions without having to resort to code.

As a developer, Kepion is a great tool and it has helped me with its interface to be able to generate implementations that can be complex and simplify budget management for users.

The platform is easy to implement and learn, and can be tailored to a company’s specific needs for each process. With real-time reporting, collaboration across teams has never been easier. A true game-changer for smarter business decisions. Kepion can also be integrated with tools such as SAP and connected seamlessly with Excel or Power BI.

While the platform covers planning and forecasting exceptionally well, its advanced analytics capabilities are more limited compared to specialized BI tools (which can be made up for by connecting to Power BI).

The dashboard formatting experience could be improved, as the limited view sometimes makes it less convenient to adjust layouts.

I have worked with a range of FP&A tools and Kepion really stands out for how easy it is to use while still being powerful under the hood. The interface is intuitive, especially for teams familiar with Excel and adoption tends to be fast and smooth.

It is tightly integrated with Microsoft technologies like SQL Server, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric etc. which makes it ideal for building out robust forecasts, models, and dashboards without requiring a complete overhaul of existing systems. Completely open framework, can create models as easy or complicated as you like. Utilizes the microsoft stack very well with MS SQL and SSAS allowing you to combine it with other tools within the MS Analytics Stack

Silverlight interface which makes it a little bit old school compared to facebook, google comparisons. Will be replaced with HTML5 in the coming months, which will really set the tool apart.

If you already have a microsoft based environment or MS SQL in place this solution would fit well into your requirements. This solution requires some customizations so I would mostly recommend it for companies with over 10M USD in yearly revenues.
