The flexibility in creating custom portfolio boards that align with our workflow. They give our team access to updates/improvements in our process and provide senior management with transparency into our progress.

Inability to print boards for ease of sharing with non-users.

We are managing over 50 multi-task, multi-phase projects with a team of three.

From running a company and client engagements, to writing books, reinforcing new habits and organizing my home and life, I depend on kanban. Outside of work though, I’ve always gone analog. This past holiday season, hosting 4 events w/folks who weren’t co-located required I treat family and friends like a distributed team. Post-its just wouldn't cut it.

How to do that while retaining my humanity, though?

Being able to create a virtual kanban board in any way I want without having to compromise and adapt to the technology. The Kanban board I create on a whiteboard with my team will be the same.

Kanban metrics. I do not have to adapt the reading of information using other available graphs or use plug-ins to have my kanban metrics that will improve my team's work.

Creating cards by forwarding an email to the board, helps tremendously to organize and feed the backlog.

The design was something that I had to adapt my eyes to. I was used to seeing and working with colored fonts and panels coming from all over the place and suddenly I saw a clean canvas to work with. At first, I did find it strange but after a while I got used to it and it's more pleasant to work with since my focus is on the information and not clicking the right panels to see information.

I love how Kanban Zone simplifies task management with its intuitive interface and customizable boards. It's a great tool for visualizing workflows and staying organized.

The color scheme of the application not being my personal favorite, but that's a minor aspect in comparison to its functionality.

This benefits me by helping me keep track of my tasks, set priorities, and collaborate effectively with team members. It ensures that nothing falls through the cracks and allows me to stay focused on what's most important.

I can easily to find the utility of equipment on production line

I am an economist transitioning from graduate school (Ph.D.) to the workplace, where I have increased responsibility. I had seen productive people use Kanban before and wanted to learn. I reached out to Dimitri and Kanban Zone and we set up weekly personal coaching. During the first session, Dimitri helped down my projects into smaller manageable components (cards), and made a board tracking the progress of the cards (is this section of the essay being written, edited, reviewed, or sent to outside reviewers?).

Over the course of a few weeks, I literally saw my productivity improve as I moved cards from backlog to done. This not only helped me shape my ideas, but also was very satisfying at an emotional level as I dragged each card to the next stage. During our weekly check-ins, Dimitri helped me deal with blocked issues, and brought up different Kanban Zone features (such as sizing, blocking, assigning cards to team members, and explicit agreements) that would help with the issues I had encountered that week.

The API's! We were able to integrate it into our website to enhance our processes. Now forms and feedback on the website create a card and are auto assigned. This has greatly increased our process response time.

Everything I have asked for has been put in place via a feature enhancement.

The tool has greatly increased our cross team collaboration.

The Phoenix PMI Chapter uses Kanbanzone to manage workflow for our volunteer resources. It is extremely helpful and we could not operate it without the virtual tool. If rating the application, I would give it 5 stars. I refer the tool to private for profit organizations as a great way to track work and get things done.

Reporting on lists and individual tasks could be improved.

The problem we are attempting to solve is how to get things done when resources work on tasks at different times of the day and multiple locations. The benefits we have realized is that we all can be collaborative and informed on progress.

Very flexible to setup categories, board columns and lanes and very easy to use, intuitive and does not require a lot of training to start using.

The tool is specific to Kanban, for enterprise needs that also include scrum teams would need another method to integrate into a portfolio tool for portfolio level transparency.

Easy tool for end users to start using quickly and effectively. An easy, cost effective way to get teams up and running using Kanban and realizing the value.
