I love the UI of Jumpstart ant the virtual events portion that makes creating, hosting, and following up with candidates so seamless. Diversity sourcing and outreach has also been pretty great on jumpstart.
I wish I could filter out students by visa status. My company is only able to accept international students at US universities and it would be a great way to filter candidates versus guessing.
Being able to avoid on-campus recruiting during covid has been wonderful! The seamless virtual event hosting is my favorite part of jumpstart but I also am able to do better diversity sourcing and outreach.
Super easy to use and access to thousands of diverse students. I've hosted several events and those were very easy to put together and host.
I'd like more access to students from smaller schools. I was looking to connect with students from Montana and there were six in the entire database. Candidate pool is very top 25 school heavy.

Jumpstart is helping us source more diverse candidate for our early in career programs.
Untapped unlocks our ability to create a diverse talent pipeline that we would not normally have access to. Additionally, we are able to create groups to engage our incoming cohort of employees throughout their time in college.
As they grow, it would be great to see more unlocked on the experienced candidate side so we can use the platform for our entire recruitment efforts. The sourcing/search results can be improved as well.
Diversity Recruiting. We have been able to create an extremely diverse pipeline with roughly 50% of our offers for campus recruiting going to candidates from historically underrepresented groups in technology.
I enjoy the ability to see a diverse group of candidates. I also appreciate how the candidates choose to fill out their profile.
I wish more students, not just tech students, would utilize Jumpstart. I also wish students kept their information up-to-date.

The ability to filter through candidates to certain years, skills, gender, and ethnicity.
You can say no/takeaway a candidate while in a search.
The platform is open to all ethnicities which Jumpstart sells itself as being specifically URM, which makes sourcing sometimes not as accurate.
It can take over a day for customer support to reach out.
If I send a specific messaging template, I cannot tell if that template or template #2 produced more responses. It would be nice to be able to see in reporting, which template is best when trying to reach out to candidates.
Trying to ensure our class of interns is as diverse as possible.
I love the ease of use! All of the filter options make sourcing candidates very easy!
Creating events is user friendly, with just a few steps - voila! An event can be created in minutes!
There are some API glitches with our ATS but I think those bugs are being worked on.
The broad outreach we can do is incredible! We are seeing students we would have never seen before relying on standard campus outreach methods!
Also, having moved to a virtual world this is helping with hosting virtual events!
Inbound application management through Jumpstart is a dream. The ability to manage application review through a variety of filters rather than simply chronologically is a game-changer in Campus Recruiting.
Sourcing capabilities are also quite strong, compared to any other tools on the market in the campus space (Handshake, Piazza) Jumpstart is the clear winner. The number of filters available and ATS integration are impactful features.
There are still a few kinks here and there but overall the UI/UX is quite strong.
Event management could be improved, particularly when hosting a virtual event outside of Jumpstart. I don't have experience using Jumpstart's capabilities at career fairs or in-person events but am excited to utilize these features when we start traveling again.
The metrics and analytics dashboards are a good start but they have some room to grow, to provide more actionable data in realtime rather than historical or retrospective data. This is something I know the Jumpstart team is prioritizing!
Eventually, I'd also like to see Jumpstart expand its student audience. The initial focus on tech hiring was a smart strategy but Jumpstart would have usefulness across industries and the adoption among non-technical candidates isn't quite where I'd like it to be.
Ultimately, there's no other tool that is built first and foremost for high volume campus recruiting. The Jumpstart team certainly knows their audience and get feedback from them frequently as they add new features and functionality!
Jumpstart has been instrumental in helping us to manage inbound effectively and building diverse pipelines. We've seen strong ROI from the use of the product and have it open all day every day as we move through our heaviest recruiting season.
I have worked in campus recruiting for 7 years and this is by far the most intuitive and easiest to use product for campus recruiting. It really does make recruiting top talent and getting your brand out there easy, efficient and drives forward your strategy. We can be a lot more strategic in the students we move through our processes and source relevant talent
There are some bugs with the workday integration but it’s a newer ATS integration that they just launched so understand there are kinks still being worked out and workday recruiting is a pretty poor ATS
Go for it! You won’t regret it
This is helping us be more strategic in who we are sourcing for university talent rather than trying to get through 1000+ resumes. We can also ensure we are creating a diverse slate of candidates which is important to us since sometimes applicant pools are skewed
We can never keep up with our SWE applicant buckets with each being in the thousands, and Jumpstart gives us the ability to filter these candidates to ensure we're finding the students who align best with what we're looking for. More importantly, it gives us the ability to ensure our pipelines stay well represented.
One product improvement that would increase efficiency even more, would be for the resume to be shown on the student page when going through buckets as opposed to pressing on the pdf and that opening a new tab in my browser. It would be ideal to have two view options 1) With student interest, gender, race, interests, club tags, etc. and 2) resume view
1. Keeping our pipelines well represented of gender, race, and university
2. Being able to host all of our events on one platform as well as being able to market on that platform as well
3. Telling a story to our hiring managers and leadership with data. This is continuously helping us curate and adjust our strategy as we work through season.
