I'm impressed with how the modules fit together to help all aspects of the shop run smoothly. It has a good variety of reports available, and we have created custom reports. Also, I can generate queries for more detailed data evaluation.

Exact provides a great variety of training options to help users make the most of the program.

Minor things -

> After a sales order is saved, the customer ID can't be changed; instead, you have to close it and enter a new sales order.

>Material Type can't be changed once the material ID has been saved.

JobBoss provides data for how much it actually costs to build a product, including labor and materials.

It takes time to learn JobBOSS accounting for beginners

JobBOSS is an excellent choice for custom manufacturing ERP. However, like any ERP system, it takes time to get the best results.

Scheduling clarity; material control; improved workflow, cost control/reporting

I use Job Boss for inputting employee information in order for them to be able to clock in an out and it couldn't be simpler.

The organization of everything can be a bit confusing for beginner users.

We use job boss to keep track of attendance, hours, indirect and direct time, and more. It's a great way to keep everything in one simple software.

How every module connects with the others. From order entry, shipping, packlists, invoicing, PO's and materials.

There are some glitches, sometimes you have to manually adjust things. For example, when you receive in materials, the PO should automatically close the line items, and then when you invoice it should close out the PO. Often times , it will not.

It's a one program fits everything, so at any point communication is open between departments because everything is connected and detailed.

While it can be time consuming to enter the data, the long term is its' ability to manipulate for future cycle times/cost.
