Great tool for sharing insight and sharing job specific info

It takes a few tries to fully get how it works

It’s great when you are trying to pass info along to someone who will be filling in your position or taking over. It’s self explanatory and once you get the hang of it easy to navigate

Found it easy to navigate through the system and easy to add fields to the database. Great support when needed for any issue we ran into.

I would recommend depending on the business if you can take the time to fully learn the system and want software to function the way you run your business than this is recommend.

It was helpful for our sales orders and purchase order and allowed us to track all shipments through the system.

The Intuitive ERP system comes from an originally well designed source and is very hard to beat in the inventory planning, capacity planning, work order control and cost control areas. The latest .Net framework implementation has continued the original aim of providing a really flexible system.

The international market does need some additional financial functionality other than what has been provided for the USA market.

The lack of new user sales in recent years and the stance from Aptean sales management is very frustrating.

Install the latest 9.0 version with .Net framework implementation through all screens and reports.

We've resolved major issues relating to material supply and work center capacity that were impeding customer delivery performance and satisfaction.

Intuitive was here when I took this position, and I am glad. As an ERP geek I find it to be a solid system.

So many, planning, shop floor, buying and ect.

Intuitive ERP is a mature, feature rich, packaged solution. Intuitive ERP provides sophisticated Planning tools such as Capable to Promise as well as a very fast regen MRP. If you implement end-to-end out of the box functionality you get the best results by far. As always attention to detail and disciplined use of the system are key to success.

No new account sales in the past 2 years in North America.

Implement out-of-the box features. Re-engineer your company processes to fit the package - DO NOT MODIFY the source code. It is ALL about the data of the Item - if this data is not maintained with a commitment to Obsessive-Compulsive-Attention to detail then you will not gain the ROI you hoped for.

We have shown that a full implementation of Intuitive ERP will reduce inventories, reduce WIP and increase on-time delivery - that is maintaining quality and decreasing costs with greater Manufacturing Velocity(tm) as a result. First hint for everybody - "it's ALL about the Item!"

I went in with zero experience with this application and was able to quickly pick up on some of the features.

Integration with other software was slightly underwhelming. There were workarounds that the team I was working for had developed.

Costing, Customer Service, Product Design, Financials & Accounting, Order Management, Quality Control.

These are the features that were deciding factors into implementation.

Support is responsive and helpful. Easy to understand data structure and where information is stored. Consultants are knowledgeable. Community of ERP users are helpful.

Buyers cannot handle messages per Item ID. Inability to allocate inventory. BOM changes cannot be made by SN.

Inventory accuracy excluding ability to allocate inventory. Tracking costs through finance module.

Easy to learn, robust and customizable. Good support staff.

Has no ability to run more than one international location in a database. Consolidations are difficult.

Running our entire business on it. (Five, actually) Data analytics are good through using it.

It has a very easy to understand database structure so custom reporting and integration with other applications is not very hard to do.

The reporting is very buggy where there are issues getting a report to actually generate. The data always appears to be correct. I would like to see them move away from using MS Access as their reporting engine if they have not already in more current version than we are using which is 8.6. We also have had issue with concurrent seat licenses. We initially started with x concurrent seat licenses, but then added 20% more. Sometimes the server-side only shows that we have the original number of licenses and we cannot use the additional licences purchased.

The reporting is very buggy, but I believe it is because we have other line of business software which utilize the Access runtime and these applications always force Windows to switch the current runtime which I believe is the cause of the problem.

Inventory control & planning

Navigation was quite logical. A fairly comprehensive package for the price when implemented.

Support is awful, a very long time to respond and often the solution they provided (SQL script) did not solve the problem. We let our service contract expire without feeling any more/less pain than when we were on support and saved $33K/yr.

Very difficult to integrate with any other software package.

Serialization and Lot tracking does not work properly, would be an issue if you are in a regulated industry.

Making even minimal changes to any forms (PO's, Invoices, etc) requires you to hire a consult to do the modifications since it is bubble-gum and bailing-wire holding this product together.

It appears that Aptean is steering new opportunities to their other Tier 2 product 'Made2Manage', not sure if they are just going to let Intuitive die a slow death and wring as much support fees as possible

We were looking for an End-to-End solution and this is an OK product if you have a simple business model.
