The software has a limit on the number of workstations it can handle. This can be a bit challenging if you need more workstations. It would be great if they could lift or increase this limit in future updates.

Impero is an excellent application that makes classroom management simple. The features that we use and love about Impero is: screen viewing, controlling, recording, messaging, and location independent. The ability to view and control screens has become an invaluable part of our work flow in our proctor labs. We were able to even decrease the overall workload by streamlining the process using Impero.

There are really only two gripes that I can list about Impero Education Pro. The first is that Impero doesn't always play nice with virtual machines. When we first adopted the application, it was difficult to ensure that Impero worked properly on our virtual machines. Support was very helpful and did end up helping us resolve the issue, however, we are hesitant to update due to the issues we encountered during installation. Secondly, Impero makes sharing recordings incredibly difficult. We use the application in our proctor labs and whenever a student is caught cheating it is our policy to provide a short clip of the incident to the instructor. Proctors cannot share these videos with each other or extract them making this a very time consuming process.

Impero is a great piece of software that honestly stands alone in the field. The support team is great to work with and whenever we begun expanding our usage of Impero in our organization, the sales team were always quick to provide purchase orders and fulfill them. When we needed an extension on our trial period, Impero graciously worked with us to finish reviewing the software.

We use Impero in our proctor labs. The proctor labs are in three different geographical locations all connected to a centralized server. What this means is that the lead proctor is able to access all computers in the lab regardless of their location. This has become an invaluable feature of Impero as the lead proctor can quickly troubleshoot technical issues in the lab without physically being present.

I have tried many classroom management softwares in the past. This is by far the easiest and best to use. It allows me control my class at ease and gives me the reassurance that everything is above board within my classroom. The tools I like the best is the broadcast tool, my classroom can often be bright, being able to broadcast my screen means all students see what I am doing right in front of thier faces. I also like the fact you can lock their screens so that when I am speaking I know everyone is focusing on me instead of doing something else on the computers. Another tool I really like is the open website tool. This means I can open any website on the students computers without having to tell them the address and waiting for them all to open the site. Similiarly, I am able to share files with them which will open on their computers without them having to find them within a folder stucture.

Sometimes when broadcasting it can lag - especially when doing this with 30 computers. If it crashes during broadcasting it is very difficult to cancel the broadcast and has lead to students losing work. Viewing the computer screens can sometimes be hard to see as you can zoom in but there are only 2 settings - no inbetween which would be useful.

I recommend that you have a play around with the software so you get the best out of it.

I am able to see what my whole classroom are doing without having to walk around the room. It also allows all students to see what I am doing regardless of where they are sat within the classroom.

Impero education pro have key features like real-time monitoring with messaging & chatting. It also has remote control acces with keyword detection.

Manages network, desktops, and various digital needs. Contains monitoring software; keywords, searches, etc. Works on multiple devices and OS. Allows some control of what students can access on the internet and directs them to specific sites and software.

There is a learning curve. Have staff who can learn the software and teach the teachers. Updating devices to work in the system takes time and staff.

Student access to inappropriate or non-essential internet traffic. Allows us to monitor student use and make adjustments to limitations as usage progresses. Alerts us to concerning usage and searches.

Impero is a software solution that includes three modules in one, and if you need all the features, this is a cost-effective solution for your school. Works better in a Windows environment.

Not enough features for the Apple platform (admin tools for Mac OS X). Some incompatibilities with some software solutions like PaperCut.

Monitor students activity on their laptops provide some teacher's tools (lock device, block printing or Internet, push out a website link,etc.

Love the ability to see student Chromebooks/students.
