It does the job and helps to establish company wide data management practices
What do you like best about IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management?
A wide array of services to establish a solid service oriented architecture. Easy integration with databases and easily customised to suite unique needs. By far the best customer data management platform but you must establish company wide strategy to get full value.
What do you dislike about IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management?
Not much to dislike. It can be deployed in cloud even tho it is a classic software. It uses Java, that might be the only downside but the software has been proven to work over years huge corporations.
What problems is IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management solving and how is that benefiting you?
Establish a single data store for customer, address, product and account info. It also provides a solid foundation for best practice integrations. Many customers do not finish installing mdm as they had planned. When they do, it's easy to see the benefits.

The best part is obviously the interface. It is seamless and congruent with work place standards.

Informatica MDM is used in our organization to manage data from multiple sources and present it back to the general user base in a usable clear single platform that users can interact and discover in. Its a simple interface for the user, but a tremendous effort on the back end.
What do you dislike about IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management?
Setup is complicated, involved months and sometimes years to set up and tune.

Maintenance is complicated.
