Workflow automation
What do you like best about IBM Datacap?
The ease of workflow automation on manual tasks that user's have to perform, this saves a lot of manual work and corrects mistakes.
What do you dislike about IBM Datacap?
Mostly its fulfilling my current need and i do not see what i dislike in Datacap.
What problems is IBM Datacap solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a set of audit document that needs to be acrhieved with some important data capturing for future purpose in FileNet.

I am a bit hesitant about the solution movement to the cloud when all industry is slowly moving and want their solution to be cloud-native,

I am solving solutions like archiving of essential loans, trade documents that are scanned or emailed and are critical to be captured with data, and Datacap automates and makes this job a lot easier for users to just overview the details and submit without doing a lot of manual work, which saves time efforts which also saves a lot of cost.

What do you like best about IBM Datacap?
It is one of the popular imaging platform and it supports icr, ocr, omr recognition. we can integrate datacap with some other externals systems. Easy to integrate with new technologies aws textract, google vision.
What do you dislike about IBM Datacap?
in older version it will not support if better ui designing. Now with integration of datacap with ICN it works better. Watson and new technologies are integrating and we can deploy it to Azure in latest versions

What do you like best about IBM Datacap?
Server capabilities, tons of settings you can tweak that can accommodate almost all types of handwriting and fonts.
What do you dislike about IBM Datacap?
I don't have anything to dislike. I fully recommend it to companies who need to digitize their documents.
Recommendations to others considering IBM Datacap?
The most common mistake for a non-technical person is to assume that there is an "all-in-one" setting that can read different sizes of papers and different variants of forms. The papers must be identical and the writings should not be smudged.
What problems is IBM Datacap solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most common business problem is the danger of losing all those physical paper especially because of floods and fire. With IBM Datacap, all the documents will be properly stored as well as the information therein through scanning.

ICR / OCR / OMR capabilities are best, and it gives different options to developers/designers to design the application in line with customer expectations.
What do you dislike about IBM Datacap?
The strong expectation is to enable the product with more AI capabilities to automate 80% forms/templates to allow Designers to add new forms/templates.
