NFIRS module is fantastic
What do you like best about Iamresponding?
The modern user interface, on both Android and iOS. The mapping functionality is not flawless its not an issue since I rely on my GPS app. This app has proven to be an asset to our fire department.
What do you dislike about Iamresponding?
The sign in process for training webinars is time consuming.
What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problems associated with coordinating emergency responses. This is ensuring communication and rapid mobilization of resources for us.

user friendly and great with multi agency dispatch
What do you like best about Iamresponding?
Very easy to view what crews are on duty and available for calls. Also user friendly for a dispatch center that provides services for many towns and agencies.
What do you dislike about Iamresponding?
users have to check in in order for it to be utilized properly
What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to know if a crew is available and responding to a medical and the ETA. It also helps track time since dispatched to follow protocols for re-dispatch or call for mutual aid.

Simple solution with under appreciated potential
What do you like best about Iamresponding?
We first obtained the I Am Responding platform several years ago as a means to document continuing education and be notified of requests for service. Due to our own internal barriers, we were unable to implement the alerting feature and the other features were partially duplicated by other services and procedures. In the last few weeks we've taken a fresh look at this platform and realize the potential of tracking meetings and public events in addition to response records.
What do you dislike about Iamresponding?
The web user interface feels very dated. Their Android and iOS have a modern UI, as does the NFIRS module, so we hope the main UI is going the same direction. Also, the calendar is a standalone tool--it would be spectacular if it had a feed consumable by Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook.
Recommendations to others considering Iamresponding?
Sign-in to the recurring training/demonstration webinars. They are very informative.
What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation of event and training attendance, apparatus (vehicle) deployment, and shared calendar access.

Easy to understand and navigate; it allows us to respond quickly and effectively.
What do you like best about Iamresponding?
I like that I can view my schedule far in advance, as well as the schedules of the duty crew. It allows myself to plan ahead and it lets me know who I am relieving or who is coming in to relieve me.
What do you dislike about Iamresponding?
Recommendations to others considering Iamresponding?
I also love the pill identifier. But I wish it were more apparent that it existed as most people don’t know it does.
What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?
I dislike the mapping. Maybe it is just my phone being difficult, but it always takes forever to load so I just use my own GPS app. Not a big deal but since most people have smart phones I don’t think this feature is as necessary.

IAMResponding app
What do you like best about Iamresponding?
You can receive multiple notifications: app, text and message notification. Map of incident location and the added futures they have are very useful.
What do you dislike about Iamresponding?
I have no dislikes with the app. It's been a great asset to the fire dept. And shows command staff who is responding.
What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dispatch enters the call into I am Responding prior to dispatching/toning the call, so you get notified prior to the tones dropping and you can look the address up without asking dispatch for it.

Great for small departments
What do you like best about Iamresponding?
Love that it gives our memers the ability to check er from their phone and allows our officers to see who they have responding,
What do you dislike about Iamresponding?
Wish we had the ability to customize the app a little more to fit our individual departmental needs
Recommendations to others considering Iamresponding?
Great product for smaller departments, recommend checking out several different products to see what ones would best meet the needs of your departments however. Not every app is best for each department. Only you know what will work for you.
What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a volunteer department, it's hard to know who is available at any given point during the day. This app allows us to see real time response from our members which gives our officers the ability to make on the fly decisions based on who is responding rather than sitting back waiting to see what you get.

Middle of the road.
What do you like best about Iamresponding?
Community aspect and ability to quickly determine staff/response.
What do you dislike about Iamresponding?
Seems a bit outdated and needing an overhaul. Responsiveness could help.
What problems is Iamresponding solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staffing for volunteer firefighters is number one problem and solution. Benefits help reduce guessing and digitize the age old mystery of volunteer fire responses. Decent.
