As founder of a trading strategy automation software, I highly appreciate the user-friendly HollaEx API that is compatible with most crypto-exchange libraries. Additionally, the constant availability and support from the HollaEx team during our interactions is a real game changer.

It's not exactly a proper dislike but more of a feature that I think is missing. I would like to be able to trade future contracts on HollaEx. A significant number of our clients trade futures and the ability to perform such trades on HollaEx-powered exchanges would be a substential improvement.

HollaEx is allowing exchange operators not to worry about the compatibility of their exchange with most tools, including trading robots such as OctoBot, as those are already compatible thanks to the HollaEx tech.

We've been often helping clients set up their own exchanges using HollaEx, and it's always been a breeze. Fast, efficient, and pretty much plug-and-play. Only takes us a few hours and a bit of back and forth with our clients to get things up and running, while if you were to do it from scratch... it'd take months and significantly more capital, making it unaffordable to any start-up that hasn't had a round just yet.

Support is always top notch, not that it's needed often. Hearing of new features inbound too, so excited for what's next.

Few weeks back I'd have wanted to see more pairs trading pairs listed on the main exchange, but tons have been added lately, so super excited about that.

You can set up your own exchange and forgo the complicated process of listing on an existing CEX. All the extra features and add-ons take you to a place where given great branding, your whitelabel CEX is equal, if not superior to non-whitelabel leading provider.

Very easy to run, you can (but for security reasons, you don't) run in 'potato pc' with just some clicks. Of course in the real world, for real customers you will have to use a professional hosting platform but the fact to be 'simple and easy, no BS' makes a huge difference when selecting which tool will be used in my project.

The same fact I said 'good words' now will become bad words. The fact to be easy to run and manage also create a problem in creating plugins for the product with our own requirements.

Develop the 'core' of my payment platform.

HollaEx was free, open source software. It meant I was able to spin up a docker container and try it. It worked like a charm. Now I've committed to a paid plan.

The config wizard makes getting started in easy but hides some of the more complex stuff. Thankfully, things can be changed later and docs are easy to follow.

I want start my own cypto exchange, with my own rates and offer my own coin. HollaEx gives me an out of the box solution to do all of this. Plus it's free, open source.

We run bimex.live exchange. Great support and the shared liquidity across platforms is the best thing about them.

Would like them to allow 1 letter ticker tokens without custom config. Also the price for adding tokens is holding back progress

The api solution is great. We will keep supporting the project.

HollaEx Kit is so far the easiest Exchange-As-A-Service (If that’s a word) software I’ve ever tried. It was super straightforward to sign up and launch it out on my Amazon Virtual Machine. It provides a nice command line program that doesn’t require you to be a rocket scientist.. all I needed to do was type a few commands by following the docs and that was it. Now I have my own fully functional exchange without a line of coding. Which is epic ngl.

Since I’m not the most tech-savvy person, dealing with something like an email setup (SMTP) was pretty complicated. It is an essential part of the exchange functionality so I didn’t have any other choice but just bumping my head into it (users should get the emails to verify their account on sign up). I was able to figure out how it works so everything is good now, but I wish there was an easier way to make it work. I heard that their cloud-hosted version of HollaEx Kit has some sort of built-in email feature, so that might be a solution for those ones who really don’t want to suffer from the headache.

I always wanted to run and own my cryptocurrency exchange years ago but didn’t know where to start since I can’t build everything on my own… HollaEx Kit is a perfect solution for that. I respect the team’s work and hope they can take it to the next level.

HollaEx has most of the features that you'd expect to see in a crypto exchange, from the order book to crypto wallets that support a lot of the main cryptocurrencies.

The security is also quite reassuring for buying and selling because it has 2FA using Google Authenticator with a second layer of additional security on top as the software will "email you" for confirmation with a passcode for doing a buy or sell order.

The software does not have margin or futures trading, which would be helpful features to have because most exchanges are in high demand for margin trading.

It has basic UI customization options, but to make any additional changes requires a pretty skilled developer, as any code changes made directly impacts the user-interface.

The software made it easy for me to test our business idea of starting my own crypto exchange and also to experiment with my business idea by reviewing the open-source code, but also launching a crypto exchange and using their live crypto exchange to see all of the inner workings of a crypto exchange.

The product also has an API key for CryptoTaxCalcuator, which is a massive help as it allows users to sync up their crypto wallets using API keys to CryptoTaxCalcuator, which helps to automate crypto tax partially — and, for anyone in the crypto space, tax is quite a bit of a headache to do.

HollaEx Pro had good chart views and trading tools for end users + easier integration.

Non-pro user fees could be slightly lesser.

Easy exchange plugin onto a defi platform experiment for hackathon

A full fledged crypto exchange could be created within hours at a fraction of cost.

No major cons however the trading revenue sharing for the basic plan is quite high.

HollaEx lets my company integrate crypto payments into its system. As not a technology company it lets me avoid hiring a full team of devs to make a crypto payments solution. It lets me focus on my core business.

Gave our team a quick way to test the product as it has an easy self-service system that does not require our company contacting them software provider as with other solutions. This saves us time from getting on a call and wasting hours on an unnecessary pitch. Just deploy and add assets on the fly adjust the theme and add logo and you are away.

Some of the system assets are missing. Only supports a couple of the top major assets like BTC, USDT and ETH. Also without some server knowledge, you probably better saving your time learning and going with the cloud option.

Our internal trading team can self-hedge on our own exchange using the kit. It is the perfect solution internally for accounting with crypto and it has also been a good way for us to remarket the product as our own as a value-added service for traders that use XRayTrade but also want to use spot or store crypto assets with us. The kit offers the basics of any crypto wallet built right into the exchange.
