There are tools for volunteer management, member engagement and Mentorship. It allows for easy creation of pages for member resources and is a great product with more capabilities than we can catch up with.
Large learning curve. SO many features, products, designs, places for items, differences in integration patterns. It is not a one size fits all platform so you need to spend a significant amount of time learning, experimenting and keeping up with the technology.
Volunteer management, central location for member questions and content, how to engage mentors. That there is also a learning curve for our users to use this platform to the best of its abilities.
I love that it provides our members with a one-stop spot for all of their online networking needs and accessing resources. Customer support is fanstastic and they have made implimentation a breeze!
I wisht here was a bulk upload option for filling out our resource libraries with multiple entries at once. I love that I can attach multiple files to a single entry, grouping them together. However, it would be even more beneficial if I could prepare multiple library entries at once.
It is providing us a workspace for our committees and for our members to network online.
Higher Logic continues to improve the user experience and administrative capabilities for Thrive. We are thrilled with their support and innovation.
The phrase, "you get what you pay for," is a good way to summarize their platform. We wanted the best, and we paid for the best. There are a lot of other products out there that may cost less, but at what cost? Our members deserve the best and we can justify the cost by the time and frustation we save administering the system.
Lack of online collaboration and file storage among our committees
It was a very easy transition from our old HL community to Thrive. Had a great transition team and have had wonderful support since. The Thrive community is easy to edit and having the Thrive marketing along with it is making my job much easier
When we made the switch Thrive membership was only for individuals. That has changed and I just found that out while at Super Forum. I am looking forward to some of the products that are coming out to continue to make the experience even better for our members.
It is enabling us to get out information out to the correct audiences. We are still working on the engagement to have a thriving community but it is great to have a one stop shop for people to get information about what we are doing.
What I like the best about Higher Logic is that the platform is built for associations. Having the neccessary tools and resources available to our team that help our society's marketing and community efforts allows us to focus on our plans without reinventing the wheel.
Sometimes I encounter bugs in the informz platform specifically when I'm working on an email. Examples include emails not saving resulting in lost progress and informz being unaccessible at random times of the work day.
One thing I would like to see is a slight UI update for informz to look more modern and less blocky.
As we're preparing to launch Thrive to our community members, we're excited for our members to use the platform. The social media-like feed seems familiar and intuitive to what our various target audiences will be attracted to.
I've worked with Higher Logic for 9 years, implementing communities at 2 different associations. I'm not a highly technical person, and I love that the HL staff is ready and willing to jump in and help to ensure your implement is successful and to provide ongoing support. They exceed my expectations every time.
I honestly don't have much to share in terms of deficits. Every once in a while, and upgrade requires some implementation on our part. But I'd rather have innovation-induced work than no innovation.
HL connects members from across diverse locations, experiences, and industries in a way associations struggle to achieve without the platform and the technology.

I really enjoy the social medial look & feel of the member homepage. I also enjoy the landing/logged-out view page that allows our marketing team the freedom to promote our organization.
Of course, everything has its pros & cons. With our recent upgrade to the Thrive Online Community, we had a lot of customized pages in the navigation area that had to be copied over to the new community which became time-consuming.
The HL Thrive Online Community is solving the issue of members connecting with each other in a meaningful way. It provides our members a platform where they can network globally with their peers in real-time and allows them to problem-solve together not to mention share resources.
The support system they have in place is amazing. There are solutions and opportunities for growth when diving into their community as well. The product interface is very user friendly and works with all of our internal integrated systems.
The organization has grown so much that sometimes you get bounced around a bit when trying to get questions answered but that is a symptom of rapid growth
