Stamping of geometry is very useful in completing feasibility studies. Technical support from CivilGEO has been nothing short of excellent.

New to the platform so there are a lot of things to learn to be able to comment.

Terrains are readily available when I first start checking preliminary results on projects. CivilGEO performs well when it can use the dedicated graphics chip for computations and other software functions, and it helps me manage computing resources more effectively.

We use it for 2D flood modeling and it works very well and is easy to learn and use.

Quick analysis of flood plain modeling results through cross-sections with water surface elevations, water surface profiles, and flood plain areas on base map, all with color presentation options. Very accessible and helpful technical support.

Very helpful to have dual monitors in order to view base map and cross-sections simultaniously. Would like the ability to stretch the cross-section window to maximize size on the screen.

I have used GeoHECRAS to model the effects of proposed storm drainage and grading improvements to floodplain elevations and floodplain areas within drainage basins. Modeling results have been used to obtain approval of LOMR-F flood map revisions.

I am pleased with the ease that the program operates, it is very user friendly and the folks at GeoHECRAS offer a lot of support and help with their software.

needs improvement with 2D hydraulic modeling

The modeling is really aided by GeoHECRAS because the elevation data is directly in its geographic location in the model. Cross-sections can be cut interactively, and the visuals make open channel flow modeling much easier. It saves time from the use of rudimentary excel spreadsheets and basic HECRAS.

I have been using GeoHECRAS on various Floodplain Mapping. I like the tools that helps to save time. Instead of going back and forth you can simply use different menu items and progress through your project with ease. It is simple to use with the interface. The integration with various software is amazing and many different formats can be used together for a good final product.

With larger models it might slows down for panning and editing with extra-large datasets that can be improved.

Working with various dataset all at once and creating the HEC-RAS hydraulics model.

Product is very effective at modeling bridges and running comparison analysis between existing and proposed. Customer support is great and they check in periodically to see if they could assist in any way.

New or upgraded result output options would be nice.

The main benefit would be the savings of time to generate and analyze a model, which in turn saves money and increases productivity. The ability to visualize the model better, I feel probably gives us a more accurate model representation.

Being able to import CAD files into the Geo-Hec-Ras model is a huge benefit. It allows me to better understand the impacts of water surfaces on my proposed sites. Additionally, being able to create and flood maps and then export them back into CAD has been a great benefit as well.

I really don't have any complaints. The software works great and whenever issues have occurred, the technical support team has been able to help me solve them.

Because CAD dwg's can be brought into the model along with google maps it has made it much easier to know that I am correctly modeling any floodplain fill that we are proposing. It also has made creating a new model that has the correct stream centerline and sections cut at areas of interest so much easier than doing it in HEC-RAS could ever be.

Integration with Civil 3D and overall performance.

As a company, we don’t use it as frequently as we once did, so maintaining a seat throughout the year isn’t always cost-effective.

Road-crossing designs, whether they involve bridges or small-scale culverts.

The tools within the product help create a hydraulic model in literally minutes.

Nothing really. It's a great piece of software.

The ease of building terrains and cutting cross-sections is 1st rate.
