Whether I’m creating a web app, a native mobile app, or a Super App, GeneXus helps keep everything consistent and secure across platforms while still delivering strong performance with enterprise-level databases. Its integration options with external APIs and third-party services also feel smooth and straightforward—connecting to REST services or existing enterprise systems takes very little effort.

The onboarding experience is well supported through GeneXus University, and the active community makes it easier for new developers to get productive quickly. On top of that, the AI-assisted development features—such as automated code generation and smart suggestions—have noticeably reduced our development time and let the team focus more on business logic instead of repetitive tasks.

The licensing model can be a barrier for very small startups or independent developers. While the value provided for enterprise-level projects is high, it would be great to see more flexible entry-level tiers for smaller, experimental projects.

What I value most about GeneXus is its focus on understanding the business. It allows modeling business logic and processes through intuitive structures and screen designs, while the tool automatically takes care of generating the code in the selected programming language and database. This helps to concentrate on the business needs without worrying about the technical details of implementation.

It would be the quality and breadth of the available documentation. Under the promotion of a more collaborative ecosystem where users themselves can share knowledge, solutions, and best practices.

What Genexus has always lacked is extensive and detailed documentation of each of its functionalities, as well as complete examples of functionalities with a high level of abstraction.

The short time to have a test application helps to have a model very similar to the final one and to have clients with good expectations, offering stages or versions of it, not limiting it to being useful only when it's 100% complete, but allowing it to be enhanced and obviously improved with the versions. Therefore, I see great potential in services and costs since this development can be improved over time.

Well, you struggle a bit with the design, but in reality, since you save time with the development that is automated in certain aspects, you can focus more on those details.
