Get Connected platforms are very user friendly on the volunteer side of things, and adjusting volunteers to the platform (even those who are not tech savvy) has been relatively easy! I also love the wide range of automatic notifications that you can edit to your liking.
I dislike that there are not notifications for new applications. However, if you check them regularly, it's not a problem. It is also difficult for volunteers to clock in using the kiosk if they are not signed up for an Opportunity. I would like to be able to have general volunteers be able to clock in, not associated with any particular opportunity.
We previously had a problem with volunteers not tracking their hours because it was difficult with our last volunteer management platform. It seems to be easier for them on Get Connected, and we are now seeing a lot more volunteers tracking their hours regularly!
The onboarding process was simple and very easy to complete. The video training was extremely helpful and was a clear process from start to finish. followed up by stellar customer service. What I really love is the versatility on the program, you can be creative in how you set things up and how you track your data and volunteer database.
I can honestly say I have not experienced any downside, however I have learned that speaking with software engineers you need to communicate a little different when asking technical questions. Just give more details and examples to describe challenges. Maybe how the home page is setup, couild be more customized layout.
We needed a new volunteer management system and it checked all the boxes for us. We wanted more social media integration and connection with our volunteers. The email reminders and thank you emails, the text option and the app are all great tools we use.
I like that they are quick to respond and provide easy-to-follow videos which generally solve any questions I have. They are always super friendly and appreciative of my time.
Sometimes, I feel like it would be easier to just call a rep and get my questions answered right away. Even though they are quick to respond to email, It is difficult and time consuming to explain my problem in the text, wait for a response and move forward.

It would be helpful if the auto emails we receive would have a link to take you directly to the page that is requiring your attention.
We want to promote volunteerism in our community and benefit our partners and this has been a great tool for that.
The support staff are quick to help if I reach out. I really appreciate the personalized videos showing me how to do something. I also love that there is an app!
The downside of Get Connected is that the sign-up process was a little confusing for some of our volunteers. They didn't understand the difference between making an account and choosing shifts. I made some tutorials for them, though, which seemed to solve the problem.
We have a lot of volunteers that work in different departments. Get Connected keeps one database so they can track all their volunteering in one place. Anything we can do to make our volunteers' experience easier and faster is good!

We have multiple campaigns running for such a short period of time - understanding these complexities is something very hard to understand until you see what we are asking.

The down-side of Galaxy Digital is when you upgrade to having Tracks on your account, it is not an easy switch over, especially if you already have 700 volunteers signed up,
Before using Galaxy Digital, our volunteer base was around 100 volunteers. In just three months of using Galaxy Digital, we skyrocketed to 700 volunteers! My Organization has never seen something like it before. Galaxy Digital, now offering the Get Connected App, has made it easier for our volunteers to access our needs. They don't need a computer and can do it from their phones.
The user experience and that they are able to see their personal impact to our organization.
Every user having to have their own email has been a change for us. We are used to parents being able to set up a minor account using their own parent email.
It is helping to create an inviting volunteer opportunity and experience for our volunteers. The App is great for those who are volunteering off-site and find it easier doing sign-ups on their phone.

Get Connected saved me an inordinate amount of time (I had a volunteer remove themselves from an opportunity which caused a loss of 250 volunteer hours). They responded quickly to my request for support and then added those hours back with one click of a button. I would have otherwise had to enter those hours manually. Get Connected stayed connected and follow through until the issue was completely resolved.
I have zero complaints about Get Connected.
The loss of volunteer hours that was caused by the individual and re-instating those hours without having to enter them manually as a site administrator.
