The UI and TAC support team of the fortinet is very helpful.

There is nothing to dislike about the product.

I use it as a perimeter firewall to secure the network.

The best part of FortiGate NGFW is, it's user friendly interface and strong network protection ability. We can manage multiple FortiGate firewall through FortiManager also. It can be easily integrate with other security solutions also.

The Technical support service is very poor. Most of the time it has been observed that when it is needed for technical support the support engineer generally provide FortiGate Document for solution, Not provide remote support as like other venders like Sophos or Cisco.

FortiGate NGFW works on multiple layers of threat prevention including anti-malware, anti-bot, IPS, and sandboxing technologies to identify and block advanced threats before they enter the network, significantly reducing the risk of breaches.

It’s easy to set up and use daily. It has many useful features, connects well with other tools, and support is quick to respond when needed.

Some settings are hard to find, and updates can be confusing at times. But overall, it works well once set up.

FortiGate keeps our customers safe from online threats like viruses, hackers, and bad websites. It has many security tools in one device, so it's easy for us to set up and manage. This helps save time and keeps their network running smoothly.

Fortigate Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) has the capacity to protect the systems from different types of attacks like DOS, DDOS, brute force attacks, ransomwares, man in the middle attacks, session hijacking and more. Its intrusion detection and prevention system is very good and robust. It provides a great management console to the network administrators for monitoring security performance and fine tuning the required configurations. Its packet filtering, Anti spam and IPsec features are very good and useful. We have been using it since many years and has got a great support from OEM whenever required.

The Fortigate NGFW is a great product and there are no dislikes as such. The logging and alert mechanism is also very good. It is a reliable and stable product and does not affect network performance. However it is sometimes hard to configure in an existing network. Its intrusion prevention system is very good and robust. It has deep scanning capabilities which makes the life of attackers difficult. Fortigate NGFWs are stable and scalable and does not affect the network performance.

I would surely recommend others who wish to make their environment secure from the emerging cyber attacks.

Fortigate Next-Generation Firewall provides advanced security against different types of cyber threats. It has the capacity to protect the organisation from network threats, malwares and attacks by taking action on them and blocking them if required. We can even manually block the IP addresses which seems to be suspicious. Also we can whitelist only those ports which are required. Overall it's a great product when it comes to securing your network.

The thing I like the most it's the Security Fabric Integration the thing about FG it's that it isn't just a firewall , it is part of Fortinet’s Security Fabric, which means it works seamlessly with other Fortinet devices like FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager, FortiAP, FortiSwitch and many more and it allows centralized management and automation.

The thing that I dislike the most It's the Firmware Stability , in terms that , versions may contain some bugs that would make you to rollback to a previous version and Couse mayor setback on the task, new firmware releases sometimes introduce unexpected bugs, especially in major updates (like 7.2 or 7.4).

I often wait several months after a release before upgrading.

The centrality of the management of all its functions, on all the peripherals connected to it.

At each release update it is necessary to modify some rules and some parameters as they are no longer supported on the new version.

2. The dashboard is user-friendly and easy to understand.

3. Configuring any rule is an easy task as we can define the source, destination, ports, and services of our choice.

4. VPN configuration such as site-to-site and Remote VPN can also be configured which is much needed for organizations that have offices in different cities.
