I like that Financial Modeling Prep is kind of an all in one financial API. It has real time stock data, financial statements, earnings estimates, earnings transcripts, earnings surprises, analyst upgrade/downgrade, crypto, sentiment, everything. Because of this, I am able to develop apps more efficiently as everything from their API is returned in the same structured format to process. The price is reasonable too.

Nothing much, except I am waiting for stock options real time data endpoint to be rolled out as it would be very helpful to developing options strategies.

This is an API with a wealth of real time financial information which mainly helps in financial app development and financial data analysis.

It is a great tool to not only stay up to date with the stock market but also use their API to get all financial statement and stock price in real times.

I can have real time stock prices, financial statement delivered in real time

Support is great to work with, and they have made all of my requested changes. With other solutions, a request for a change from an individual would be ignored.

The move from the legacy product to the stable solution has been less than ideal for 2 reasons: 1) I lost access to Transcripts and TTM financials with the stable solution (these are available with the Premium Plan in the Legacy version but require a higher level in the Stable version); 2) The change was significant and no translation document was provided to assist in mapping old API calls and fields to new API calls and fields.

FMP provides access to 20+ years of financial data on stocks and mutual funds. This has allowed me to create a comprehensive Stock Evaluation solution.
