The platform itself is pretty easy to use and comes with a great range of tools to further enhance your research. It's smart yet simple and covers almost all major reliable news sources. It's profiles which clearly leverages Dow Jones' other products are pretty handy too!

A few filters don't always work as per expectations. Also, a few subjects' description or coding can be confusing. That though is dependent on the backend inputs, people who assign these codes or descriptions.

Also comes in handy when you are trying to source and article which would otherwise be locked on google as they require premium membership, Factiva already has tieups to get those such as WSJ, WWD, BMI, etc.

Should have subscription models suitable for developing markets like south asian and some central american countires. More automation is needed in the app.

I like the ease of using the platform and its user interface. Searching for news/companies is very easy if one knows how to use related keywords and filters to get the desired output.

At times searching for the company on the platform shows that the company is available, however, once we go to its details, the information about the company is not available. So, the vendors can check on to this and improve the availability of companies on the portal.

Factiva solves the problem of providing all the relevant news/articles about a company/industry on its portal. It solves the problem for me as a researcher that I don't have to refer multiple platforms or perform manual lit searches in order to conduct searches for a company/industry.

Factiva has limited navigation capabilities, which can make it difficult for me to quickly find what they are looking for. Factiva uses a lot of jargon and technical language that can be confusing to newer me at times.
