The documentation of this software is so complete and detailed. There is more than 1000 pages of pdf file explaining every bit of how the software works with tutorials. Everyone can start using it immediately by just looking at documentation and example model files. Much better than Arena! You can create a relational database unlike Arena and model really complex systems easily. Can also simpThis is a very underrated software since they don't do much advertising.

Almost no 3D capabilities. But if you dont need 3D animation this is the best software to use. Other than that nothing much to complain. It can be hard to model warehouse models.

Supply chain models mostly. Mining and production systems. Very easy to use and learn.

I used Extend Sim for graphical analysis of CFD with unusual surface geometry. Working models can be generated.

I used ExtendSim in an academic environment, so basically, it was used to reinforce the concepts of Production Planning and Control. One of the projects consisted of evaluating the Assembly efficiency with the simulation of the whole factory layout in a realistic ExtendSim model. If the assembly operations continue to run smoothly without any problems like the unavailability of parts operators, tools, machines, fasteners, etc, then the production system can produce the required quantity.
