Lean & mean...there is no fat to this platform. It knows what it wants to do, and it does it well. No feature sprawl (yet, at least).

Only thing someone might not like is that pricing moves based on batch-seat pricing (5 seats, 10 seats, etc - you can't currently pay for the exact number of seats you want). The actual platform and features are great though, I haven't found anything I dislike.

It's worth giving this platform a try if you think it may be useful for your team. The cost of implementation and trial is minuscule - you can figure out if this will work for you in an afternoon.

Allows for everyone in the company to submit ideas to grow the company. Instead of people needing to bite their tongue til they forget the idea - this allows my team to strike when the iron is hot. Also forces people to flesh out their ideas a little bit more than they normally would. So it increases idea quality and our ability to actually execute on them over time (rather than good ideas taking my team off the current focus).

Northstar is the perfect platform to organize, track, and analyze all of my growth hacks for my clients. It allows me to be transparent with my clients on what I am working on and allows them to see what's in the pipeline.

Highly recommend for any growth marketing looking to manage everything they need under on roof.

As a growth marketer, there are tons of moving parts so NorthStar allows me to move away from spreadsheets and emails and instead use a fully integrated platform to manage all of my strategies under one roof.

The fact that the platform keeps you perfectly focused, it has everything you need in one place and the key difference to other solutions (Eg: you can build your own complete process in Airtable) is that there is no clutter, no unuseful features.

At some times, the ultra-focused nature of the platform can make it seem rigid. You do have to abide by the rules pre-set but have found some situations in which some behaviors do not apply to any business. Example - in reality, one metric can be reached through multiple objectives and the overall performance should be summed up by the performance of individual objectives.

I've been using NorthStar since it was GrowthHackers projects. It's been built from the ground up by a team who are passionate about engaging with marketing in today's climate.

Since becoming NorthStar, perhaps the pricing model is now more suited to larger teams. Having said that, I believe there is some flexibility for startups.
