I like that Entuity consumes such a small amount of computing and storage resources for the amount of services provided.
The flow data customization was not rich.
Entuity allows us to monitor network devices for event alerting, flow data, and connected host mac address tracking.
Customer meet with other organaization and their views
they do not conduct meeting periodically at customer premises and revert back on feedback
it is very easy and operate in simple steps

Nothing. Its an excellent tool and its getting better day by day
Network Monitoring
Detail Entuity goes to with out of the box metrics captured over snmp and the ability to add further amendments or additions easily via support. Also very impressed by the new front end in Entuity 19 and 20 allowing the creation of multiple dashboards containing all sorts of widgets. We are looking forward to moving to Entuity 21 soon to make use of further new features such as the group mapping.
Having to make amendments to each poller for certain things, this should be done centrally acorss all servers.
Helping to identify issues before they happen, we are looking to make use of their route cause analysis to reduce the number of alerts occuring.
The tool is user friendly. It can be easily adjusted at your specific needs. It's up to date to latest network technologies. It is a mature tool, easy to integrate with other tools. A plus, support is amazing.
I would like some enhancements about reports. I've been using this tool for over 14 years now and I believe there is still so much can be added to reporting.
The main purpouse for us is incident ticket generation, it also helps for capacity planning and automation.
1.API flexibility.
2. Entuity has UK based support (main driver for choosing). Developent team is based in London aswell as great support in US too.
3. Scaleable.
4. Tool is only improving with new features and functionality been added.
Needs a true consolidated single centralised database to create true relationships on larger Networks > 1000 devices. Preferably with MS SQL capability.
There are less minor niggles but I think with a wider product base and more development these could be enhanced.
Stormworks language is not the easiest to pick back up after you have put it down for 6 months.
Those points above have been the main benefits realised.
The deployment of ENA has allowed us to retire multiple other products and reduce the number of management IPs we have to configure in SNMP from 7-9 down to just two. Since that initial deployment, we have expanded it's use globally we allowed us to retire an additional 7 tools.
Possibily more than technical side, the relationship we have been able to build with the owners, Park Place, and the level of access to development and their senior leadership team as mean that we continue to get to steer direction on new features in the product to make sure it fits our needs as a service provider. I believe this is the best partnership we have had with any vendor in our history.
The biggest challenge is lack of name recognition as we leverage ENA as part of the services that we provide to our client base. From targeted marketing or more highly visible partnerships, the Entuity name needs more recognition in the IT Network world. They were purchased by Park Place a few years ago which has helped in some areas but not in the area of name recognition in the monitoring space.
Do a trial and work with the sales engineers. As a hosting company we have a very large and complex network and produces situations that they could not handle. The sales engineers immediately took those to development and in roughly one week we had a custom hot-fix that addressed all of our concerns. And to our delight, all of those changes were included in the GA product release to the public.
The biggest has been tool consolidation. When we are supporting a client that is having a performance problem, the ability to go to a single console to see all the network views that we care about (instead of half a dozen different products) goes a long way to reduce the time to resolution. Then on top of that are all the event management rules we can leverage to control unwanted noise and out of the box integration to our preferred enterprise management tool, BMC TrueSight.

SNMP troubleshooting part with in the tool.
• Every month after patching activity we are facing Entuity app down issue due to license expiry.
• Because of host ID keeps on changing after activity.
• Every time , we used to take help from OEM to resolve this issue with new temp license.
• This whole exercise was taking nearly full day of efforts.
Now it got fixed permanently.
