This software is very intuitive and graphically pleasing

The visual scheduling board does not fit for a contract stamping enviroment. It is designed for a job shop/fabrication enviroment

Using it as and ERP system.

Item entry into inventory is user friendly and helps to accurately organize an electronic stock. E2 helps to keep track of used and in stock parts while also providing the costs or individual items and completed assembly products.

Some functions and benefits of E2 do not come instinctually. Thorough training is advised before use.

It is a great product for cost control. Manipulating the inventory through E2 can help to keep purchasing under close watch.

I have been using this software for a good 10 years now and I found it very easy to learn as well as use . There are help sections and our company also pays for phone support so I can always call them to get an answer and they also email information about our call to support the information they gave you .

E2 MFG System simplifies management of your shop floor. With its touchscreen interface and lack of moving part, it can't get full of dirt from the shop floor. It's just a simple thing to login on a project and then log back out when your finished. Very user friendly.

Dirty employee hands. There is no way to get debris into the interface but dirty hands can cause a lack of contact issue.

My company is still in the "consideration" phase. I used the software for a few days in training and it seems to be what we need but Mgmt has to make the decision to go with it. I hope they do because it would make my job so much easier.

After all of that’s taken into account, then you know what your profit is. Everything is accounted for and your know what your profit margin is.

This can capture real time cost . The helpline is friendly and does their best to cater customer requests. And the system is user friendly

Reports generating part with customized parameters can be improved. It just takes time get in line with the systen

Used this to learn and do enterprise resource planning

The ability to find information is very good because of the filtering and database-like interface. I also like how customizable the different records can be, i.e., individual orders can be customized easily.

I am not pleased with the smoothness of the interface. Often, while using this on our server, the screen will flash back and forth a couple times before I can actually begin to access the screen. Also, it appears that the basic layout of the screen, which I am sure the software designers thought a lot about, requires extra clicks to get from the bottom portion of the screen, to the top portion in which the different ribbons respond separately. I wish the interface was more advanced, especially in the engineering capabilities department - there is no current way to interface with engineering software to reference BOM's or other data. We often have to run a utility that updates our BOM's when we make changes every month.

This software is good but you need to buy some additional support to help improve the product or customization to get what you need from it.

We are now able to get data for reports much easier than before. We have not yet even begun to fully exhaust the reporting that E2 offers, because it runs Crystal Reports and no one here is a real guru in that software. Has made evaluations of our companies performance much easier.

E2 is the only job writing program i have used in my career so far, so I cannot compare to anything else, but I have appreciated it thus far. For our specific shop uses, there are some things we have to fudge, but overall the program is quite useful. I appreciate the long kept records and being able to recall jobs by partial part numbers or order numbers

Like I said, I can't compare to any other job shop programs, but it would be helpful if there were a few more customisable options. There are a few times when E2 will have a weird glitch and double a quantity with no way to override it without wiping the memory. But overall it's a good product and gets the job done, so not many complaints from me!

E2 MFG System helps keep order in our shop with its numbering assignment systems, We are able to keep track of parts and material in our inventory areas and charge them to jobs as applicable and we are able to recall old parts we've done in the past off of different categories like part numbers, descriptions, etc.

Cloud-based so this software can be accessed remotely when out of the office.

Everything is integrated from beginning to end of the project cycle - from quoting & customer purchase request to shipping & invoicing.

Can have multiple umbrella companies on the same software. For example, fabrication company and powder-coating company

Takes a while to fully learn all the functionalities. I would recommend having a CSR come in and train.

E2's system for generating Estimates, which transformed quickly straight into orders and job routers, was great for entry-level people to use. We had minimal experience cost estimators, and they were able to set us up with job costing and preliminary routing for the MFG team to take over.

E2 didn't get into the nitty gritty of each step of the router. Perhaps it's changed over the years, but when we stopped using the software back in 2019, the best you could do was enter a target cycle time, and a description of the operation. You couldn't upload pictures, or enter tooling details, or inspection data.

We no longer use E2, but I can share what it did for us at the time we used it. E2 helped us track our job times, and job costs, and helped us to know if we were winning or losing on jobs.

E2 has many options that would fit most applications. As a job-shop environment, it does a good job, although the "documents" section could be put together better for a "read-only" standpoint.

There is no real way for Non-conformances and CAPA's to tie together.

Benefits are having most of our business needs in one system.
