Write your requirement first. What you want to achieve using this tool. Create the blocks steps by steps.. Rectify and optimise your solution. Simulate it

What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were intergrating an external micro-controller to get the values of sensor inside the fmi. For this we created all the required blocks in the behavior modelling and we successfully simulated it.

Requires good internet connection always

Created a aircraft design having some kinematic functions also controlled all its links & joints by using the behavior modelling

Great user experience for modelica based environment

What do you like best about Dymola?

The organisation of modelica library components in the current window panel. It is very easy to browse around, search for individual library components and drag and drop entities.

What do you dislike about Dymola?

There is not enough supporting documentation when it comes to fixing errors in simultion.

What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am using Dymola to create reduced-order models to simulate building space heat demand. Dymola provides a very flexible interface in terms of adding new components or modifying the already existing components.

I personally like its real time editing during simulation and modeling feature. To get accurate and fast result real time simulation is helpful.

Not much documentation is available for reference.

Must use. In todays cloud world, 3DX platform provide real time solution for simulation and modeling. Just you need to spend some time to explore the platform.

Simulation and modeling cloud solution by Dymola

What do you like best about Dymola?

The cloud online solution for modeling and specially for real time simulation. I mostly used for Digital twining application and it worked prefect.

What do you dislike about Dymola?

I am unable to find proper tutorials or sufficient information while using Dymola.

Recommendations to others considering Dymola?

Must use to represent and use modern technologies like AI IOT with current modeling and simulation work. Just need to spend more time exploring various tools as not enough documentation available.

What problems is Dymola solving and how is that benefiting you?

I personally used Dymola only for Digital Twining purpose. With coming world of AI IOT, digital twinning is the great way of representation. Various tools provided by Dymola for this very helpful.

There is not much documentation is available for reference. Need to explore and find different tools while using software.

Any designer who wants to make its product to use in real time like digital twin with IOT enabled solution then must use this tool. Just be sure to get proper info due to unavailability of proper documentation.

I used Dymola for integrating my real time embedded system with IOT into my design. I recommend every designer to use this tool to make its design simulation more realtime.
