Good inventory control for growing business
Had to switch from our old inventory system that couldn't handle the growth, we implemented Deskera about 8 months ago. Biggest shift was the inventory control features that let us track materials from raw to finished goods without spreadsheets. Setup wasn’t that easy, especially batch tracking configuration, but support helped with the complex parts along the way. Good functionality for the price point.

Solid choice for online retail
Started with Deskera for my e-commerce business a few months back and haven't regretted it.Getting everything configured didn't take too long - had our product tracking and sales data synced up pretty quickly. Before that, I struggled managing manual updates, mismatched stock levels, and constant overselling. I took over my late father's restaurant supply distribution business two years ago. At that time everything was a complete mess. Finding the right software for our family distribution business took some trial and error. Last year, we settled on Deskera after trying several options that were either too complex or didn't have enough features. The interface is straightforward, which was important since not everyone on our team is tech-savvy. Having contacts, sales documents, and invoicing connected directly to accounting, has reduced a lot of the manual work we used to deal with. Started with just the basic modules and added HR and payroll as we went along. The integration between them has been mostly smooth. There have been some minor bugs with reporting, but nothing that prevented us from getting work done. Support usually responds within a day or two when we have questions. If you need something more robust than basic accounting but don't want the complexity of enterprise software, it's worth looking into. Our accountant has commented that our records are much more organized since we made the switch.

Works well for food distribution
We've been using Deskera for about 7 months in our food distribution business. The transition wasn't easy, I had to adjust how we track perishable inventory and train staff on new processes.
It's not specifically designed for food, but we've made it work for our needs. The batch tracking is adequate, though better expiration date features would help. The connection between inventory and accounting has eliminated most of our end-of-month reconciliation headaches.
With real time inventory visibility, we’ve been able to streamline the process using the inventory and order tracking features.
Our drivers use the mobile app to check stock levels while in the field, which saves time.
We do experience occasional server issues, and I wish the reports were more customizable, but the reduction in paperwork has been worth it.
