What I like best about Deltek Maconomy is that it is built specifically for project-based organisations and not just adapted from a generic financial system. The tight integration between project management, finance, time registration, and invoicing gives a strong end-to-end data consistency, which is critical when managing complex consulting and engineering projects.

From an IT and business perspective, I particularly value Maconomy’s single data model, where project financials, WIP, revenue recognition, and cost control are handled in one coherent ERP platform. This reduces reconciliation work and improves financial transparency and governance.

Maconomy has not developed much over the last 10 years. As we upgraded from 2.2.2 to 2.6.3 we did only see minor improvements.

Additionally It is a good system for budgeting and fund management.

Having Used the software for over 10 years it is hard to find a better ERP solution for our business needs.

It is easy to use, it is best in class compared to other tools and the product teams are always trying to get better. Listening to customer needs to make the tools even more useful

The WSC is old tech and needs to be updated, they fall behind other providers who have moved into a WEB only product and this should have been made a priority many years before.

Cloud ERP solution purpose-built for Professional Services firms. Strong client, project, and financial management capabilities. Solid solution architecture (container-based architecture, comprehensive REST API) makes it future-proof and easy to fit in a modern tech stack.

All solution capabilities are not yet available in the new web UI (iAccess), but Deltek are adding more and more capabilities in each new version. Having said that, I don't mind using the 'smart client' (aka Workspace Client) as it provides a very rich and powerful user experience.

Deltek Maconomy is a very powerful solution, but the flexibility and capabilities also mean that you need a system owner and super users who are interested in exploring the solution and work to get the best out of it.
