As a value-add Digital Signage Solution provider, we need a CMS system, that supports any kind of screen configuration, is reliable and ready for the future. The Cnario suite offers just that. With a multitude of features and functionalities, it enables anything from the management of small to large scale networks, all sizes and shapes of video walls to remote management and analytics.

The frame and pixel exact syncronisation over several screens works impressively and the content runs smoothly, even when powering two FHD screens from just a simple NUC.

The GUI seems to be a little complicated at first sight. As it is not quite as intuitive as some other CMS, there needs to be some time spent for becoming familiar with how to set the system up and use the main functionalities. However, this is partly due to the fact this is a much more powerfull system that most CMS we know.

Spend a little time and let the product be explained to you, then try it out for yourself and compare to your current solutions. It really is an impressive system, even if somewhat a little complex to begin with.

Cnario was introduced to us via a large retail operation that used YCD’s Cnario software in all it’s stores. We were so impressed by it’s features, we asked YCD to partner with us at a trade show event. This project was particularly challenging as content needed to span across several different types of display technology—flat panels, LED, front and rear projection screens in a serpentine configuration. This large blank canvas utilized Cnario to layer content across all the display technologies for a seamless canvas with infinite possibilities in terms of content playback. Cnario’s ability to store and playback content was important in this trade show environment, as well as for other digital signage applications. Another robust feature in Cnario is the ability to playback high resolution and 4K files.

It's not a dislike, but more of a request for future benefits - needs an App that can be control via smartphone or tablet on the fly.

As a custom Mount manufacturer, we are not typically involved with content. But should our digital signage clients need scalable software, we always refer them to YCD.

With the Cnario Digital Signage Suite you are guaranteed the most sophisticated, seamless player software there is. I know that if my clients want the best, that is what I am offering them. You don't need to look any further than their client list to understand that this is true. Beyond that the Cnario team is extremely helpful and supportive.

I haven't run into any problems so far. You definitely need to understand digital signage in order to use it, but they do offer rigorous training.

If you are considering an digital signage installation that is more complex (video wall, large projection, national store chain) Cnario is definitely the software that can put your mind at ease and trust it will work.

I find that a lot of the time clients aren't happy with the software that is currently running their digital signage networks. They are unreliable and difficult to update. I know that recommending/using the Cnario suite is a guaranteed way to remedy this.

My experience with C-Nario Suite started in 2008 and I think it is the most powerful digital signage system of the market today. It is very flexible and presents a large panel of features that help fitting to any crazy business cases.

On top of that, YCD introduces new and enhanced features on major updates following market trends but also answering to users requests.

It is not a dislike but more a wish : IOS/Android App giving access to the platform.

The ability to schedule, update, and review is a nice feature to have.

I dislike the software interface. Lots of drop down menus which are easy to use but I hate the click and wait workflow

Cnario lets you create any sized digital canvas with complete synchronization over the network. No matter what request the client has thrown our way, we have been able to meet their needs using Cnario.

Video, audio, RSS, and HTML5 are just a few of the features that can be configured to play in-sync. Users can add custom scripts to pull information from external sources and display it in a beautiful way. The Cnario API allows users to control Cnario remotely using REST, SOAP, TCP, and UDP. The system is modular, meaning that you can scale at any time depending on need.

Cnario 3.7 (the version we are using) is outdated visually. This is addressed with version 3.8, although it's not fully ready for production environments at the moment.

In addition to their engine being essentially flawless during playback. The API is the most expansive allowing for the creation of your own player if needed.

Licensing is tied to a physical HASP key as opposed to a digital.

Simpler screen management tools for clients who just need strict signage control opposed to the expanded musical element.

We use C-nario for any video wall installation we do. one of the main reasons is it versatile playback engine.

C-nario is one of the few, if not the only one, that can deliver on synchronized playback over multiple servers, making it the best solution for large format video walls of beyond 32 displays.

But that's not the only reason that it make the C-nario software the right choice for us, the playback canvas allows us much flexibility with layering different types of content together, video, images and dynamic feeds harmonically layered unleash the content capabilities for the size of video walls we are dealing with and enable us to do much more that a flat out pre rendered content. that way we can tackle more complex business challenges of our clients and solve them with pixels

The program was easy to use and learn, it was also very visually appealing. It was also very well organized and was simple to import and export media.

The version that we were using seemed outdated, and I'm not sure if it was because the newer versions were harder to configure to our system or if it just worked more consistently. There were also a lot of places where shortcuts could have been more helpful, like in a video editing software.

Easy to use and is a very beneficial program.

We were using Cnario to configure video walls for Microsoft stores. The program helped me as a visual learner to learn the job better.
