Virtual system deployments are straightforward, and the platform integrates neatly with ticket creation and day-two operations. By using roles, I’m able to give the help desk custom actions that support faster, more consistent problem resolution.

The engineers listen, are responsive and take feedback well. Feature enhancements and recommendations make it into the product.

The platform can take a little time to get used to, but once you’re familiar with the terminology and the automations within the software, it becomes very easy and intuitive to work with.

Vendor-agnostic provisioning paired with a modern technology stack, backed by strong community and vendor support. A wide variety of integrations enables the product to fill a range of enterprise gaps. Provides enterprise grade features and functionality at a very competitive price.

I would say The self service capabilities, workflow automation, and multi cloud management features save a significant amount of time and reduce manual effort.

The main drawbacks for me are the steep learning curve for advanced customization and the fact that it may require a dedicated specialist to fully manage and optimize the platform.

For me, CloudBolt has been beneficial because it saves time and makes cloud operations much simpler. Tasks that used to take hours, or that required multiple approvals, can now be automated and deployed in minutes using blueprints and workflows.

Cloudbolt CMP has allowed us to automate system builds in a relatively short timeframe. We went from 1–2 weeks for contractors to build a VM to about 30 minutes from the moment a ticket is entered. Additionally, we have better control of what end users have access to. Instead of giving users access into our vSphere environment, we can allow console, SSH, or RDP access through Cloudbolt.

When we do need to reach out to support, the technicians are always kind and helpful. They go above and beyond to help us shape Cloudbolt into a product that is more than what comes "in the box". They have helped us every step of the way. From integrating with our on prem VMware environment to our first steps in Azure.

I appreciate the support team as well as our account reps at CloudBolt. If we run into any issues, they are able to quickly assist or get us to someone that can.

Building out orchestration actions requires a good bit of DevOps knowledge which we are not well versed on. On a positive note, the support team is always willing to help.

Hybrid cloud/automation. This saves a HUGE chunk of time in deployment for both our internal systems team as well as our customers.

CloudBolt is good for automating VM provisioning and managing private cloud environments. It helps reduce manual work and keeps processes consistent. Flexible enough to customize based on internal needs and integrates well with existing infrastructure.

Upgrades can require careful testing, especially if you rely on custom integrations or scripts.

Some workflows need additional configuration to fully match specific use cases.

CloudBolt's support team has been outstanding — friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in our success. They've helped with training, built out functions tailored to our needs, and always provide thorough, detailed information. When issues arise, they're quick to jump on sessions and see things through to resolution.

Occasionally, breaking changes have been introduced that have impacted our workflows, though to their credit the team has been quick to address and resolve these when raised. Additionally, some functionality improvements have only come after we've had to proactively flag them and provide feedback — ideally these would be identified and actioned without requiring customer intervention first.

CloudBolt provides our engineering team with the tools they need to test product functionality effectively. The platform's openness and flexibility has enabled us to implement some genuinely creative solutions that we may not have been able to achieve elsewhere, allowing us to meet our goals without compromise.

Cloudbolt offers us a strong toolset for automating our self-service capabilities. It’s flexible to use and integrates well with our environment. There are plenty of out-of-the-box blueprints that make it easier to build a solid set of catalog items for our customers.

The learning curve for new developers is quite steep, and the limitations in UI customization can feel restrictive, especially in a complex environment.

CloudBolt provides customers with a single point of entry for workload deployment and management, which simplifies provisioning and significantly speeds up internal processes.

Allowing you to create your own actions using Python makes this tool easily extendable.

Needs to allow better integration with Visual Code or other tools for better debugging while develping plugins.

Greatly simplifies in the creation of VM's and other resources.
