CARESTREAM Vue RIS streamlines workflow by integrating patient records, imaging, and reporting, reducing manual tasks and speeding up report distribution for better efficiency.

Its robustness and its integration mechanism, based on standard protocols, allowing simple integrations with HL7 to receive images and manage them in DICOM formats, which maintains their original quality, and thus guarantee that radiologists can inform based on what is displayed at their workstations without the need to be geographically located in the place where the study was generated.

Possibly, it could be considered to offer demonstrative or even free options (with limited functionalities) for small radiological centers where there is, for example, a single piece of equipment such as an ultrasound, etc.

The generation of complete care cycles, added to its HIS, which allows to execute the entire flow, which starts from the moment the patient enters the radiology center until the results are reported by the radiology doctor, all with the Carestream suite.

It is very customizable and is very adapted to the needs of any radiology service or diagnostic imaging, with many statistical reports, with many forms of integration both market standards and customized, I think that is the better on the market.

I just think that it is a little difficult to implement, although they have a lot of trained personnel to make the necessary configurations if a change you have to request the service of qualified personnel.

The problem that Carestream Vue RIS solved in my experience was the organization of the workflows of the radiology service, allowing to obtain reliable data on productivity, input expenditure, establishing SLAs for delivery of results, among others.

I consider it a very stable platform with a high degree of scalability, in which I have been able to verify that for implementations with a significant number of processes and production areas with a high volume of use, it maintains an adequate performance.

Possibly there are opportunities to improve the presentation layer and renew the look and feel for processes such as scheduling, in which screens are still perceived under a not-so-recent design architecture.

Vue RIS from my perspective is an extremely stable tool and allows hospital institutions to grow by adapting to different service plans, for which one of the most interesting architectures is currently the cloud version.

Definitely, with the version that we have worked on, it is possible to organize the entire scheduling part and the workflow in which the request for a study can be sent to the modality (radiological study machine in our case), as well as manage the roles that allow the radiologist to diagnose. All this workflow allows heterogeneous technologies to be integrated through standardized protocols such as HL7, Dicom, among others.

I like how easy it is to navigate and I appreciate how user friendly Carestream as a whole is. It's a great program and I highly recommend it to all my colleagues at other institutions.

It's hard to find anything not to like about Carestream, other than the upfront cost to purchase/install, etc. I found the more I used it, the easier it became to navigate.

By allowing me to see all the patient's studies at a click of a button, it makes diagnosis as well as planning for care a breeze.

It is easy to access, you can access any study performed in the service, and you can access all the studies of a patient as if it were a folder. In addition, you can read reports and compare images of all the studies of the patient, perform reconstructions and plans needed by the doctor, measurements, densities, etc

It does not allow to open two users at the same time on the same PC . It is limited to performing actions on the study being visualized (e.g., take measurements, densities, volumes, etc.).
