Locating jobs within my specific metro area as super helpful.
Not much I disliked - nothing I can think of.
Helping candidates locate quality tech jobs in their specific city. Helped me break into Tech years ago and grow my career.
Built In has been such an amazing tool for our company when hiring and we have enjoyed being able to post our open job postings here. It has also been good for getting our company name out there and giving us the space to advertise our company and showcase what we've done and who we are.
So far there hasn't been anything about Built In that I have disliked. It is a great platform for posting your open job postings. Nothing to improve on that I can see.
For problems we are solving, using Built In we are able to post all of our open job postings to their website. There we are able to keep track of the views and how many people have applied. It is helpful to see all of this information from previous job listings as well to compare and keep all the information and data in one place.
It’s a really great place to catch up on what’s happening in Chicago’s tech community.
There isn’t anything I dislike about Built In.
I used to work for a startup that’s had articles featured in Built In and when I’ve brought up where I worked, people have said that they’ve heard of us on Built In which is always great to not have to do a spiel about who we are. I’ve also found the job board helpful, though I have not used it myself, I have referred people to it.

Regular updates and improvements enhancing functionality.
Strong focus on security measures, ensuring data integrity.
Occasional glitches in the interface affecting user experience.
Certain features could benefit from further enhancement for better usability.
Limited integration capabilities with some external tools and software.
The learning curve might be steep for less tech-savvy team memebers.
Occasional delay in response time from customer support.
Built In's customisation options allow us to tailor the platform according to our organisation's specific needs.
This adaptability ensures that the tools and functionalities offered align closely with our workflows, enhancing theri relevance and efficiency within our daily operations.
I didn't realize that I could look for roles at companies that they write articles for. I love that and the platform is super user-friendly.
What's not to like. So far I haven't had any issues.
It's a great place to go to see which companies are the cool ones to work at which might not be top of mind
Great for recruiting Entrepreneurial minded team
Have to lobby to get your content written.
Recruiting
The thing I like the most about the Built In Chicago is their support towards any tech profession individual to get more incites about his recruiters and hiring companies. It's really fascinating how professional and dedicated their platform is and how helpful they can be for startups and the people trying to utilize their talents.
I don't have any dislikes about the Built In Chicago platform but there's a bit of a suggestion that I would like to offer and would really appreciate which is, Built In Chicago is basically Chicago based and they really need to expand their territories of operations among other places.
If you are a recruiter or startup looking for talented people to work for you, you can consider Built In Chicago as your one stop destination and if your are looking for jobs and incites about different organizations or just to educate yourself to implement onto these in the future, this should be your first choice.
I am with Built In Chicago to help them with recruiting resources and I among the benefits I realized this can be a potential place for me to find talented individuals to work with being a tech professional.
I like how this site focuses on both career development as well as employment. I have worked as a hiring manager for many years, and I use this site and others to post positions. I have found many candiates using the Built In site.
As a candidate looking for a job, there seem to be fewer positions posted.
It helps me keep up with HR topics important to me as a hiring manager. It also helps me find candidates for roles I am trying to fill.
I appreciated the user-friendly format Built in Chicago has as well as the detailed descriptions behind each company and position within those companies.
It seems there was a decent amount of clutter. There isn't much personalization that goes into the sight; it looks like most of the information is processed by AI.
I was using the site to confirm whether or not I would be taking a job. The site helped me do so by providing information hard to find elsewhere.

I've used BuiltIn for posting job ads, I find that I get relevant candidates that are local to the area using BuiltIn compared to other job boards.
It's a little pricey, I wish it were a little cheaper to use.
We were doing a lot of tech hiring at one point so keeping our company page up to date, I believe, helped us attract top candidates.
