It allows lawyers and para-legals to multi-task and communicate with clients in a more streamlined and documented way. It is accurate and is robust across multiple accents.

The only two issues that I slightly dislike is that it is not 100% accurate with transciption but very close!

Also internet dependancy can be an issue in remote areas.

The software is very easy to use. It did not take much time to train the staff on the platform.

I am not a fan that there is a seperate application for the dictation and the review. Lawyers can only use the app and paralegals have to translate it through an application. When rolling out a new product, it is nice to have consistency amoung all users. It is also sometimes difficult to add licenses since you have to go through a sales rep but they don't notify you when your rep leaves the company and do not use out of office emails.

It is very easy for lawyers to dictate. You can also assign your dictation to certain paralegals for them to translate it.

BigHand Speech Recognition has been useful to my law firm. Typing documents and notes with my voice does make it easier than the conventional typing since I have an easy time getting my notes across.

I’ve observed one weakness in terms of the concept or, more specifically, the legal vocabulary sometimes employed. That is why technical terms as well as technical terms become distorted that need correction.

With BigHand Speech Recognition, I am able to easily dictate documents and notes in mid-flow even when I am multitasking. It makes it possible to spend adequate amount of time on more substantive legal tasks and communication with clients.

It saved a lot of my time while i was working on a storyline. I just have to say the plot as it goes and the text was ready within seconds!

Sometimes the platform doesn't fully cut white noises

I like to write stories during my personal time and most of the time i feel like the flow of the story breaks when i start writing so this platform helps me in that part.

Like other dictation systems, there are occasional instances of inaccurate speech transcription with complex background noise.

The cloud based application offers an excellent solution for digital transcription needs that can be remotely accessed across multiple offices. It helps reduce the need for transcription services and is very accurate.

It makes typing letters to customers and peers so much easier between the Attorney and I. Easily transfers to a word document, and learns as we go to adapt to his voice.

Expensive, very pricey but worth it. I also would like a better application for mobile not as easy to comprehend.

The setup and training are fairly easy to use.

If the user doesn't take the time to properly train the software it tends to not work too well.

Out timekeepers are using it to track time which frees up their assistants to do other things.

Currently nothing since they moved to the new platform. Previously it was very easy to navigate and all the features cooperated.

As indicated they moved to a new platform and we cannot seem to get it working properly - our IT department has also been involved for numerous calls with BigHand.

Works well at recognizing words spoken by the user.

Setting up the speech recognition takes a while. Especially for busy attorneys.

Users need to take the time to set it up properly and it works well.

We have attorneys for dictate the time to their assistants. This makes it faster for the assistants to input time into our Time software. It seems to work OK.

Convenience of availability on the phone

Cannot fast forward during playback (must pause first) special recognition needs improvement, more training materials and education needed to learn how to use
