Recently I have been looking for backup solutions. I looked at Updraft, I looked at blogvault but they all seemed very expensive and restrictive.

One plugin that I simply loved was BackupGuard. The interface is simple, beautiful and it is very easy to configure. Since I use Pcloud, I decided to buy the PRO version. It works perfectly well, and besides being the most affordable product on the market, you still have the option to purchase the Bundle that includes their security plugin.

The security plugin is still simple, but I saw that it uses the 6G firewall in .htaccess. For my needs it works very well since I keep everything up to date and try to use only renowned plugins and themes.

For this plugin to be perfect for me it just needs a lifetime license, to be GPL even in the PRO version and to support ClassicPress officially.

What do you like best about BackupGuard?

I like best the ease of use, the automated backup to dropbox and being able to make a website on a development platform and transfer it to a production environment in no time.

What do you dislike about BackupGuard?

In rare cases the plugin doesn't work due to hosting restrictions.

Backupguard helps getting backups that restore easily. That is really helpful when recovering from upgrade failures or moving from one domain to another.

I love BackupGuard!

What do you like best about BackupGuard?

Backup Guard is so easy to use and it works perfectly every time. It doesn't matter how big or small my website is, Backup Guard has it under control. I would highly recommend this product over any other out there. I know, I have tried them all! Did I mention that I purchase the license that lets me sell my websites with Backup Guard installed. Huge hit with my customers!

What do you dislike about BackupGuard?

I can't think of anything that I dislike.

This will be the best purchase you made all year. It is reliable and simple to use.

What problems is BackupGuard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Once I sell a website, it use to take hours to transfer the site to a new owner. Now it takes under 5 minutes to transfer the site. It has never failed. Other backup programs only have a 50/50 chance of transferring the entire site. The nice part about it is that I have been using it for 2 years and have never had to think about it. I know it's there and it is going to work when I need it to.

Since I use WordPress to develop my sites for clients, I create each site on a production site using a set of domain names that I purchased for that purpose. Doing this, I can show progress to my clients as the site is being developed. I use BackupGuard on these sites to backup the site as it is being developed.

Just 25-30 € lost because I am refused the refund! Very disappointed with the technical service

What do you like best about BackupGuard?

I admit that I appreciated the fact that the plugin allows you to view the progress of the backup and that you can restore the website directly through the interface of the extension.

What do you dislike about BackupGuard?

I'll try to keep it short. If you are a French or European webmaster and you are hosted by OVH in shared hosting, this plugin is not for you. You need an "INT 8". Not being a developer, I have a lot of trouble understanding what you want from tech. In short, they never managed to set up a successful backup. With the help of another plugin of its free version, I managed to understand what was wrong and to fix the problem, to make a full backup, where Backup Guard pro was not able to do so even with the support of its technical support team. It's a shame.

I ultimately have no profit.

Wasted 10$ on an useless plugin that…

Wasted 10$ on an useless plugin that didn't work (for me), I reached out to support minutes after my purchase and they denied a refund.
