AWS Glue is generally praised for its ease of use and integration with other AWS services, particularly for serverless data integration and ETL tasks. Users appreciate the visual interface and the ability to automate processes, saving time and resources. However, there are limitations with Glue's support for non-AWS platforms, and some users find the debugging process and cost management challenging. Overall, while Glue is a powerful tool for data integration, its usability for beginners and cost-efficiency are areas for improvement.

Perfect for our project to extract and transform data from AWS RDS into GoodData platform. Perfect for a quick POC project.
THere were some niggles that needed help from AWS crew to sort out as we have run into problems with missing columns specially when the source column had null values
We needed a POC to convert data from production AWS RDS into parquet format so our BI tool can load them into their system
The Glue Studio is like a Low Code No Code kind of an environement.
Getting the resource take more time then expected and Job scheduling becomes cubersome.
Serverless Glue job helps with with RDS/Redshift connectors helps you to put the aggregated data in respective data stores.
The glue allow users to integrate data very conveniently, data transformation and job scheduling ability is excellent
Debugging is complex, cost is expensive.
Analysis of large data
it saves a lot of money on infrastructure needs a few components/systems to be installed on-premises and does require a server at the client's place. the good thing about is a cloud-based platform with higher storage capacity. it is easy to use.
Sometimes face problems with integration with third-party applications. transformation is complex.
This minimizes the infrastructure at our place and is very simple to use, a highly qualified technical team is not needed to operate and maintain the platform. it is faster and with high data storing capability.
Best of AWS Glue is its easy to use user interface and the features like crawling the data. It uses Apache spark engine to run its jobs which helps in faster execution and it's Serverless feature which automatically provision the resources. It has Glue ETL jobs where the code is auto generated after selecting the data sources and targets. It has crawlers which auto detects the schemas and can be scheduled or run on demand.
There are no incremental sync of data which does not help us to see the real time data for executing complex queries.
I use AWS Glue for creating pipelines to move data from snowflakes to redshift and redshift to snowflakes, S3 to EC2 postgres and ec2 postgres to S3 and S3 to Redshift. It integrates with different data sources and helps us to establish secure connections and movement of prepared data.
Glue is the best tool in AWS to use as ETL and create tramsformations
Too many codes to use to make a simple job
ETL automation
I like the server less feature in it and also crawlers and tables helps me to get delta load every time
Only one thing I felt is it should have some feature of installing 3rd party and maven libraries easily
It help me to run the flows without manual trigger by schedule
I like its integration and ability to handle all data-related tasks. The solution is highly user-friendly, and its features are easy to use. The new addition of AWS Glue Data Catalog is also very beneficial, making the tool even more helpful for its users.
limited to working within the AWS good environment and mostly work on python and Scala. Integration with other platforms might be difficult and large datasets makes its little bit slow and less amount of small datasets for practice
Less hassle and very powerful environment. The cost efficiency and effective. makes it easy for analytics users to discover, prepare, move, and integrate data from multiple sources
Glue crawler is the best service to arrange data in table, it's work automatically also once we do setting
Not find any think to dislike. Service is good to data pipeline or large data to run query with Athena
It's doing automatic fetching through s3 and use crawler to manage it in table

AWS Glue is an ETL service provided by aws which is easy to use and implement.
It can be integrated with many services like CLI or SDK allowing its more frequency in usage.
It comes with various features that is provided by the AWS like that of availability etc.
The customer support of AWS is always satisfying and helps you with cost reduction and sustainable usage of resources.
The main disadvantage of AWS glue is that it only supports two languages i.e, python and scala.
AWS glue helps us to perform the ETL tasks in one go.
We are getting the data from the sftp server in the raw format. Previously we are using other tools for ETL process.
Now as we transitioned to Glue ETL process becomes very easy as we extract the data an transform the data in glue itself and creates the glue catalog.
We are then loading the data into s3 buckets thus making our whole process much faster and easier.
