It is super simple to learn and pickup on, it's straightforward and easy to use.

i also love how many things avanti can handle such as sales reports, customer relations and inventory.

purely just the inventory module, it has several bugs and never seems to work one hundred percent. and this could be just faulty implementation.

Be patient while implementing and make sure you have enough of a staff to help implement it before making your decision to move forward. Avanti requires at least one in house person to be on call tech support at all times.

Slingshot Software is scale-able in size and applications. Rolling out a new MIS/ERP system can be overwhelming on an organization at the best of times. Adoption rates are sometimes a challenge based on a businesses overall culture and resources. Being scale-able allowed our organization to monitor each departments implementation independently and gauge its results separately. The data from multiple sources and systems all get captured into one centralized system which truly allows our organization to gauge efficiencies and make adjustments in real time.

Having AI in the estimating module would certainly help estimating complex projects. Estimating could be a little more intuitive.

Support in using API's into Slingshot could be better from some third party vendors

Do not under estimate the existing culture within your business

I like that it is server based and i can access it on any computer at work. The menu is pretty easy to navigate too. IT does great if you want to write reports against the Data. The Tables are clean and easy to find what you are looking for. The customer service has been very good thus far and they are always adding more features. The xml upload has saved us a lot of time. This is one of the best features they added. The User defined fields are very nice to input custom data.

We needed a lot of custom things done to it to get it to work the way we want and it is still clunky at best. It freezes on me a lot and i have to delete my browsing history to get it to work again. It also seems to be pretty buggy. Depending on the computer the load times for the different sections can get annoying. Just slow enough to be annoying if you have to use it a lot.

I was not on the board of choosing this software so I am not aware of any other software to handle paper and jobs on presses.

We are dealing with paper inventory. It is good at inputting / tracking usage data. We are now able to to see how we use the paper and the volume of it . It also does okay at tracking jobs.
