AutoCad LT is a great value alternative to sales reps that don't require the full version of AutoCad. It allows that sales reps the ability to look at drawings in real time.

There is nothing I dislike about this program. It has everything I need to be successful.

I like the ease of use of the menu in AutoCAD LT, making it simple to transition from old to new versions. The dimension feature is easy to use for creating designs quickly. I appreciate that it's straightforward enough that I can teach others to use it easily and quickly create auto design. The capability for three-dimensional dimensions with consideration of length, longitude, and latitude values, as well as map calculations, are particularly valuable features.

I'm not converting GPS device file to the old version, but in the new version, it automatically converted. But the older version is not activated, so I have to purchase a new one after 2024.

What I probably like most about AutoCAD LT is how, once you get past that steep "what-is-all-this" phase, it actually becomes a pretty solid everyday tool. I wouldn’t say it’s fun exactly, but there’s something satisfying about getting a drawing just right—clean lines, everything aligned, no weird little errors.

I do a lot of 2D layouts and simple plans, and I don’t really need all the extra stuff from the full version of AutoCAD, so LT hits a nice balance for me. It’s not trying to be fancy—it just works, in a straightforward kind of way.

Also, once I got the hang of using keyboard shortcuts (and remembered to save… often), it felt way less clunky. Now it’s just part of my routine, and weirdly enough, I miss it when I have to use something else.

AutoCAD has remained the accepted go-to CAD program in our industry since inception. Program updates are regular and are easy to deploy and get accustomed to without too much down time.

Using AutoCAD LT for 2-D work is all I do. In the design of equipment it seams like other 3D CAD programs are used more.

Being a consistent useable platform for all of our Integrated Systems. Working with Layers and use of Model Space / Paper Space eases development and reducers development hours.

It helps me a lot on my work, you can easily make template for your daily used of this product and it has a function of layering , this helps you to hide and show the only things you need before you print your file, And its yearly cost is appreciable but I recommend before planning to purchase it , Try its trial first.

It consumes a lot of memory on processing it on your computer. The acquisition of the license is very expensive. It is portable to us. High performance computers are required to work comfortably. so try upgrading your computer first before purchasing it.

Although lacking certain advanced features, AutoCAD LT offers enough functionality to produce any 2D drawing required, regardless of complexity, with the added benefit of a reduced cost.

For me, AutoCAD LT being tailored for 2D design is ideal since that is my primary use of the software; however, there is a limitation on the integration of customization tools. Unlike the full version of the software, AutoCAD LT limits the use of industry-specific tools and functionalities and custom programming utilities which restricts your ability to automate tasks and develop custom workflows. More advanced CAD Technicians may find this lack of toolset integration problematic as a simple task could take longer; however, first-time users will likely not miss this feature.
