What do you like best about Arena PLM & QMS?Arena PLM and QMS has been a strong part of our product development process. What I like most is how change control is centralized: ECOs and approval workflows live in one place with a clear audit trail, which makes it easy to see who approved what and when. Managing bills of materials and item data is also much more consistent, so design, manufacturing, and suppliers are working from the same information. Supplier collaboration works well because we can share specs and track responses without giving outside partners full system access. On the quality side, the document control and records help us prepare for audits in a regulated environment. And because it’s cloud-based, there are no servers for us to maintain, and teams in different locations can access it easily.What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?Arena PLM and QMS has real strengths, but there are some areas where it could improve. The user interface feels dated compared with newer tools, and navigation takes time to get used to. The learning curve is steep, and setting up workflows, item types, and change orders usually requires training or help from an admin. Customization is also limited, so tailoring forms, workflows, and reports can be restrictive for teams with specific needs. Performance can slow down with large BOMs or heavy data loads. Integrating with ERP, CAD, or other systems often takes significant setup or custom work. Finally, licensing is expensive, particularly for smaller companies or when adding supplier users. Addressing these areas would make the platform much more accessible for the teams that rely on it.What problems is Arena PLM & QMS solving and how is that benefiting you?Arena PLM and QMS solved several problems for our team. Before we used it, drawings, specs, and BOMs were spread across email and shared drives, and it was often unclear which version was current. Arena keeps one controlled version of each item, so [design, manufacturing, and suppliers] work from the same information. Engineering changes used to move through email and meetings with no clear record. Now ECOs follow defined approval routes and leave an audit trail, which has cut our approval time from [X weeks] to [Y days]. Sharing information with suppliers and other teams is also easier, since we can give each group access to what they need without exposing everything else. Finally, when auditors or customers ask for document history or quality records, we can pull them up in [minutes/hours] instead of searching through folders.

What do you like best about Arena PLM & QMS?It does a good job of organizing large assemblies and storing all the information necessary to get products manufactured.What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?It can feel like busy work when you have to get all the details in every part of a large project. What do you like best about Arena PLM & QMS?The interface is incredibly easy to jump into for someone that is new to the PLM software. The interface is intuitive with everything you need right at the top. I also like the face that you can customize the columns within each world to make it useful for different roles. I have used the AI integration tool to do some advanced searching and it seems to work very well.What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?I have noticed a bug, when entering an item it takes a while to load up and when it does load my search box disappears. It would also be nice if it sent the approval prompt emails out more often to the approvers, I also don't love the format of the emails it send. The text is small and send it all in one graphic. I think this causing some to ignore the email, as opposed to if it was written in a true email paragraph format.What problems is Arena PLM & QMS solving and how is that benefiting you?The arena PLM is allowing us to manage all of our part numbers, including revision and BOM control. I am a mechanical engineer at the company and our department controls almost all of the documentation that is released to production. Arena helps us manage this documentation and keep record keeping of all revisions and engineering changes.

What do you like best about Arena PLM & QMS?I use Arena PLM & QMS to manage documents and control revisions effectively. The structured yet flexible workflows match real-world processes and maintain traceability without slowing teams down. I appreciate that engineering, quality, and supply chain all work off the same product record, reducing version confusion and chaos. The system's filters, sorting, and export options save me time in finding and managing the exact documents I need. The revision control option is helpful for tracking changes, and storing regulatory documents in Arena ensures easy access. Additionally, the tool requires no heavy IT overhead, enabling teams across locations to work in the same environment without friction. The initial setup was very quick and user-friendly, unlike other systems like SAP.What do you dislike about Arena PLM & QMS?There's some friction in search and data retrieval if you don't know exactly how something is named or structured, finding the right item, document, or record can take longer than it should. And when I try to export some data, some of the units are missing in the exported Excel, like if there are some items starting with '0', those are exported without zero, and it is taking more time to export. It would be better to filter out the things that I need to export.What problems is Arena PLM & QMS solving and how is that benefiting you?I use Arena PLM & QMS to manage documents, track revisions, and improve traceability.
