Easy if you use the templates...
What do you like best about AppMachine?
Easy for a first-time app builder who wants to operate off of existing templates. The support staff is helpful as well.
What do you dislike about AppMachine?
If you attempt to build your own app it gets pretty complicated. There aren't elements that you can add and subtract like text boxes, images, etc that are already formatted.
Recommendations to others considering AppMachine?
App Machine currently has all new app submissions on hold.
What problems is AppMachine solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using app machine to build an app that engages customers post-sale.

Very easy to use
What do you like best about AppMachine?
For the other people in my department that dosn't know coding, AppMachine is a very easy tool to create apps or wrap an app around a website. And with a little help from a developer great apps can be created.
What do you dislike about AppMachine?
A little the price and maybe missing documentation for some API's.
What problems is AppMachine solving and how is that benefiting you?
To create an app that mimicked the function of a website.

Wasted Money
What do you like best about AppMachine?
It was flexible, it allowed me to integrate with my website (if it worked).
What do you dislike about AppMachine?
Appmachine ran me several hundred dollars and over 40 hours of work... what did it accomplish? Nothing. They decided to stop submitting apps. They also said my terms of service allowed them to not give me a refund. So basically they advertised an app that wasn't an app at all. I threw a month of saving money and a couple months of work, trying to figure out how to program the app, down the toilet. I message them about it, no empathy, they just refer to their TOS and give me a link to cancel. In the end they run off richer and not having to work for any of it.
Recommendations to others considering AppMachine?
Be careful. Even as they advertise one way, they can switch it half way through your contract. If you're unhappy, they're already off the hook with their Terms of Service. You're stuck with a bad company.
What problems is AppMachine solving and how is that benefiting you?
The big problem is that they decided to change their model without permission. I bought the service because they advertised it differently, and then they switched it up. Then they don't even consider a partial refund because of their cleverly worded terms of service. Very disappointed.

AppMachine - terrible when it was working, now totally useless.
What do you like best about AppMachine?
It was possible to get an app out into the world without much coding if any, something that had previously never been possible before.
What do you dislike about AppMachine?
The actual interface was terrible - there were problems with every screen making it incredibly difficult to use. The app previewer rarely worked well, and when it did work there was a lag. The submission process was slow and not helped by AppMachine's slow processes. Now, the system has gone off line and new submissions are impossible.
