The customer support is absolutely off the charts. These platforms have so much functionality that at times it can feel overwhelming. I've gotten the most out of the platform by working with the support team via phone and screen sharing. They've always been able to provide workarounds in the few instances where there were limitations on the functionality.

This depends on your investor base. Many investors have little use for a technology platform and only want to receive the distributions and K-1s. Therefore, it may be unnecessary and provide little value for those investors. However, maintaining a professional investor portal for the rest of the investors is an absolute minimum to give the best possible experience and engagement.

Acting as a data repository is the most important function. This allows investors to access all of the investment information on their own. This investor independence is extremely valuable because it saves the GP a lot of time. Additionally, calculating, tracking, and storing all of the distribution information reduces potential liability to the GP.

One of the best aspects of Investment Management is the ability to seamlessly connect with our account software: AppFolio Property Manager. This seamless integration easily allows us to sync our distribution checks for easy payment to our investors.

Overall it is an awesome solution; an easier login set up for investors would be nice, although definitely not a major downside by any means.

Streamlining of distributions was a major headache for us before using AppFolio Investment Management; getting the streamlined connection between this and our accounting software was a major win for us.

AppFolio Investment Management has been one of the best things for us since we have been with AppFolio since 2014. It had given us a platform that we did not have before and created a shift in how we can service our owners.

Although there are not many downside to the Investment Management tool, the one thing I dislike is that I have not been able to master it yet and become the superuser I would like to be.

There are a few features (like re-opening a closed investment) that we don't have the ability to do ourselves; we have to reach out to AppFolio support for them to do it on their side. While this may cause trouble when dealing with other technical companies, AppFolio support always has knowledgeable people who quickly help out with any problems.

AppFolio has helped us solve our problem of organizing investments and investors. As a growing company, it started to get hard to keep track of everything, and AppFolio has created a seamless space for us to organize everything we need.

The platform is easy to setup, easy for investors, and the team is responsive to feedback and user requests. Many requested system enhancements have actually been heard and implemented.

The service is very responsive when support is needed, at times you do have to request through the email ticket system to receive a call to phone based support.

This has greatly streamlined our capital raises, organized our investments, and made for an ease in investor communications.

Great interface, investors constantly express how much they like the layout. New features added often (like contributions and distributions directly via the portal).

High startup cost. Some finagling required to have multiple entities owned by an umbrella corp (from the investor side).

We have hundreds of millions of dollars of assets and we manage the investors through AF. Our last closing took only 18 hours to fund and took 1`-2 hours on our side to set everything up, get signatures, etc.

The interface is very simple and straightforward, focusing on features that are most useful to our business. Our office is focused on growing our business and not technology, so having a platform that is easy to use is key.

The product has grown and changed for the better over the years, so it has taken some ongoing training on our part to ensure we are maximizing all of the tools we can use.

It is incredibly valuable to have a summary of all our holdings and partners positions at a click of a button, that does not require a computer science degree to figure out! Whether it is analysis of a deal or helping with marketing and sales of a future project, there are a multitude of features that make my life easier.

The quick responses to all questions. I love the features that help me keep up with all of the aspects of our investors' lives that are pertinent to my company. It has been everything I could have wanted to keep this company going.

Absolutely nothing. This company has it all. I love every feature.

I can keep up with personal data, investments, monthly investments, and all documents, get the documents signed through the software, and keep an accurate count of percentages owned by the investors. I cannot recommend this company enough!

Nothing is missing from this product from our perspective. Our investors love the portal, and it saves us time and money from an operational standpoint.

Appfolio Investment Management aggregates and archives important data in a format that is easy for investors to access and utilize. It also provides useful notifications and allows for customization. Our company has only scratched the surface utilizing a relatively small portion of the capabilities provided.
