You don't have to start from scratch as simple as that. Things are pretty much defined , the basic structure for ERP is already there, which can be used in a single go & it's customisable as per necessity.

I like how it provides a simplified view of order details, and it's very easy to use. It's integrated with our website, and we use it to manage all our orders. It also helps us with refunds and returns. We are also using it for inventory management. It's great how we are getting all the necessary features and tools in one software. It's quite easy to implement.

Sometimes, there's a delay in saving notes in ofbiz. We submit it then it gets updated after a few minutes.

Best part is whenever u are going to build any Ecommerce website backed u didn't not worry just some customization require, almost all post order ui, tables available

Documentation, it's to hard for beginners to learn as very less document/content available over internet. It would be great if better documents we have definitely it will help beginners

The inbuilt APIs and services provided by the Ofbiz is amazing.

The complexity of the services and code.

The need to review and creation of restful APIs are very good.

License is the best, truly open source as of today. Feature-rich JEE based ERP/CRM/SCM/eCommerce framework with SOA, easy to learn, and use Entity engine (i.e. ORM based) and services. Recently updated to Java 8 + support that's cherry on the cake. Multiple data sources (we can go from free MySQL to commercial Oracle DB) configuration option. OLAP and Tenant support. Component/Plugin level tenant support is of great value. Many more OOT box plugins are available to integrate with third parties. Good community support.

Still uses XML, missing its own BPMS, good workflow, Good CMS. Documentation needs to be improved.

In detail analysis of customer requirements and then decide whether to go with own ERP or SaaS or off the shelf decision is a must.

Complete OFBiz ERP functional understanding is a must. Mapping the organizational requirement to the OFBiz requirement is a must, before starting any customization.
