User-Friendly GUI Transforms CFD Simulations
What do you like best about Ansys Fluent?
I like Ansys Fluent's easy GUI, which is very user-friendly and makes it accessible for new users. The names of the options, like 'fixed support,' are easy to understand compared to other software like Abaqus, which uses terms like 'Encastre' that can be confusing for newcomers. The initial setup of Ansys Fluent was smooth, and overall, it's a tool I'd rate highly in terms of usability.
What do you dislike about Ansys Fluent?
I wish there were more mesh refinement options to make the software easier to operate, similar to Siemens NX. Also, the ability to generate a fully quad mesh for complex geometries would be an improvement.
What problems is Ansys Fluent solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ansys Fluent solves fluid flow, heat transfer, and melting/solidification problems. The user-friendly GUI is easy for new users, with options clearly named, enhancing usability.

Powerful, Flexible CFD Simulations with ANSYS Fluent
What do you like best about Ansys Fluent?
I have been using ANSYS Fluent for a while now, mainly for the CFD modules and simulations. I really like how powerful and flexible it is. It provides great perfomance. With Fluent I work on both simple analysis, complex and heat transfer modules. The Physics models are extensive and once you get a hang of it you can get very accurate results. The UI is also good.
What do you dislike about Ansys Fluent?
The interface is good, but it does take some time to get used to. The learning curve can feel a bit steep in the beginning. If they can tweak the UI to be a little more user-friendly, it would be much better.
What problems is Ansys Fluent solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me solve complex heat transfer problems. It generates realistic simulations of my modules, so I can rely on them instead of doing real-world testing.

aspx?target=ijor:wei&volume=66r&issue=7&article=006 Best Fluid Flow Analysis Software!
What do you like best about Ansys Fluent?
It's a really nice and mostly used software for fluid flow analysis projects. I used to analyse my project on "Earth Air Heat Exchanger" where it helped me to create environment to approximate physical conditions. It gives great results, and the results also help in experimental analysis. I used fluid flow with heat transfer in this project and performed transient thermal CFD analysis. Overall, it's a great software to perform different fluid-related analyses. Ansys Fluent is great for simulating how fluids like air or water move in different situations. People like it because it's good at handling tricky problems and works for lots of industries. It's easy to use once you get the hang of it, and there's helpful support from Ansys and a community of users. Its multiphase flow simulation capability enables precise modeling of interactions between different fluid phases, which is pivotal in industries such as oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. The turbulence modeling feature is vital for predicting turbulent behavior and indispensable in fields like aerospace for aerodynamics or HVAC system design.
What do you dislike about Ansys Fluent?
There no perticular thing. But it requires heavy system requirements. For simple analysis it works just fine. But when you will go for some complex analysis it hangs a lot if your system doesn't have higher specifications. Learning it can be a bit hard at first. The cost is a downside too, as it can be expensive.
What problems is Ansys Fluent solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used it to perform a study to understand the effect of different parameters on the Thermal Performance of Helical Earth Air Heat Exchanger. It helped me to understand the geometric requirements for this system, the effect of changes in dimensions also the optimum length for the pipe to pass air. I used it in my various CFD analysis projects such as the analysis of hybrid drag-based wind turbines, airplane wing CFD analysis, airship analysis, and used it in my recently published work: https://www.indianjournals.com/ijor.
