The best feature of Adobe RoboHelp is easy migration of content from FrameMaker source to RoboHelp source. The help is generated really quick and multiple help formats are supported. Single sourcing is every easily achieved. Use of Conditional text to filter content.

Editing content imported from Abode FrameMaker is a very slow process and cumbersome.

RoboHelp is the best tool available in the market for generating Online Help context as well as context sensitive help.

Single Sourcing problems are resolved very easily with RoboHelp.

Easy of authoring in the tool along with WYSIWUG window.

I author help for both website and online using Robohelp. Single sourcing the content is very helpful.

In my opinion, the best features of Robohelp are 1.) the way that you can create separate chapters -- which is very nice, and 2.) I also love how easy it is to export different versions of the user manual(s). For instance, you can export .pdf, .docx, and online help from Robohelp, whereas if you were using a different document authoring tool, you might have to go through multiple programs in order to generate those deliverables.

I dislike the fact that Robohelp requires some basic HTML knowledge to get the most of out the experience. It isn't that hard to pick up basic HTML, but you may find that RoboHelp has some formatting issues that can only be fixed by diving into the HTML and fixing a bit of code. Again, it's not that hard to manage, and HTML is intuitive for working through minor problems, but it would be nice if this feature wasn't included since I think the product is aimed at less technical people.

It would help if you have another tech writer or someone familiar with the program to show you some basics, since the program could be a little intimidating to newcomers.

I was able to easily access and update the specific sections of a manual that needed to be updated without having to go through the entire document, like I would with Word. One problem I'm solving is the problem continually developing a user manual as the corresponding program is being developed. I have also been able to keep versioning of different manuals under control easily by using RoboHelp.

I like how all the templates and resources are available to the users. Plus its really easy to use all of its design functions. Easy to create new pages for Online User guide. Easy to Use CSS style options. Easy to import and export files.

I dislike only one thing that for new users it is hard for them to find all functions. Need to revise the toolbar section.

If you are working on the Online User Guides for Companies I would suggest you use RoboHelp because it is made for that use.

I worked on the Online User guide which was a pretty awesome thing to work on. One of the most awesome things was that I could use one of the given templates for that project and it made my project a modern-looking user guide.

I used Robohelp for two years as a Senior Technical Writer. It is the best thing I had in my career because of the content, heading, and page level help in different styles with version control and easy to connect the IDs.

Learning material was short at that time but I hope it is available now. Robohelp team can ensure that the process is more user friendly and easy.

For professional and content sensitive help, Robohelp is the only established and comprehensive solution.

I was part of the development team of core banking solution. We worked on the 56 modules of the solution and I developed help content for all those modules. They were around 1400 documents. Robohelp was indeed the best choice.

To create user manuals , instruction manuals, and help files. Robohelp is certainly better than Microsoft word which is very tedious to handle.

Very easy to use. If you can use Microsoft Word, you can use RoboHelp. Working in design view is simple, and requires little training. The Source Control functionality is by far the best I’ve seen.

Sometimes RoboHelp is finicky with the HTML code. If you have to go into the code to fix something, it can be challenging.

Have an IT team that can support the deployment maintenance. Your daily users will need little daily support once the system is launched.

We publish two websites that house procedure and guidelines.

It's easy to use, has all the features I want, and is flexible (has both design editing a and HTML editing).

That it opens all pages in a project, instead only the last one.
