Aderant Expert is the best tool to capture time and billing for professionals. This product has come a long way since its inception.

They are moving to cloud... meaning it is a more secured but at the same it will more changes!!

Tracking professionals time and billing the clients and providing financial statements to the firm's stake holder.

I love how we can keep literally everything that we need for a case saved within this program! I love we can store case documents, picture and anything you could possibly need all in one place. I love how everything is broken down and has its own space to be stored. ATO is so very user friendly! There are multiple ways to search for a case that you are wanting to find.

There is nothing that I dislike as of yet with this program, it is very organized.

It is a very well put together program overall. It is very user friendly.

I have not had to resolve any problems with this software at this time. The program is very user friendly and very organizational for all of the people out there that likes everything in one place.

Cost of software and support are a little high

Aderant is a great case management software and as well as billing software. Keeps all our files togther in one database easy to manage and work on. Also integrates great with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Aderant has good integration into a firm's daily use for document creation, time keeping and billing for multiple clients. The program makes data management an ease and has integration for users across several levels of the workplace. Most importantly it puts everything in one place that saves attorneys and paralegals time in timekeeping and billing.

The program is a bit slow and needs improvement in processing data input from a large number of users on a network at one time.

Aderant needs several hours of training for new users.

Aderant efficiently solves the monotonous task of time keeping and billing for a firm among all of its employees. The program has saved us hundreds of hours on these tasks that we can now use in more productive ways.

Expert Time is great - easy to use and the time entry screen is pleasant. Clearview cubes are excellent for reporting. General Ledger has nightly balancing - makes month end a breeze. Quicklooks are a very good method to quickly find information.

The basic reports generated by Appshell are difficult to read and cumbersome to execute. The Report Writer and Docudraft tools are challenging to use. There is no effective method for distributing reports.

Great system with most legal software needs wrapped up in a single package.

The ease of accessing the information I need when I need it as well as the ability to download it into and excel spreadsheet.

The client name does not appear when you move through the various tabs of information.

I have used 3-4 other software programs at different law firms and Aderant is by far the best!

It's ideal for providing the accounting for attorney fee affidavits. It also provide a way to quickly look up a client's trust balance, outstanding balances for fees/costs as well as current WIP.

I really like that the bills are easy to process and that any changes that we make are here to stay. I love that with small tweaks the program can be modified ( windows, settings) to different personal needs.

I don't like that there is a lot of manual steps to do example if client pays a Canadian currency bill with their US currency trust account. Another example would be that some of the reports are confusing and hard to understand quickly.

It's easy to use. I like that you are able to release and unrelease the same day if there are changes to be made to time entry. I also like that you are able to search certain words if the client/matter number is not known.

I also like how you are able to look up past invoices and client balances.

It's not that I "dislike" it, but a change needs to be made to the entry the next day, then additional steps need be taken in order to edit. i.e. looking up Time ID and retrieving the entry that way. If you could simply "unrelease" the next day, then it would save time.

My favorite aspects of Aderant Expert is that we can save images and the ease of use. images are important because we can go back and look at it later and not search our emails.

There are a few quirks about expert i do not like. I think it is silly that sometimes certain screens get locked by other users, even though they are not in the screen. Also the fact that we cannot use spaces in invoice numbers is forcing us to change invoice numbers that vendors send us which is not proper. When you have an issue it can take several days for it to be fixed.

Aderant Expert is solving imaging for our team. We are able to go back later and look at the image and know what it is we did and why.
