What do you like best about 3Shape?

It's the best professional solution for intraoral scanning. Compared to its competitors, The interface is well designed, the build quality is great, and the overall experience is premium

What do you dislike about 3Shape?

I guess the price is slightly inclined towards the higher end. I believe there needs to be a little bit competitive pricing to attract more customers.

if you are looking for premium intraoral scanning solution, then try 3shape.

What problems is 3Shape solving and how is that benefiting you?

we use this for intraoral scans of our patients in our Clinic. and later use it for planning the cases and 3d print the dental models for further procedures.

What do you like best about 3Shape?

I like how userfriendly the experience is with 3shape compared to other intraoral scanners. It is very fast and takes the scan of the teeth in less time making it easy for the patient also

What do you dislike about 3Shape?

It is however on the pricey side. I believe the cost is something that can be looked into. But overall its a very decent solution

What problems is 3Shape solving and how is that benefiting you?

If you have teh budget for a high-end intraoral scanner, then you should give it a try.

Could learn how to label menus a bit better

My favorite tool was the virtual model trimming tool

Menus are not labeled how you think they would be

Take a course or have someone train you on this software, it would have been a nightmare to learn this out of a book or over a zoom class.

What problems is 3Shape solving and how is that benefiting you?

3shape helps because one day digital will overtake analog in the laboratory and 3shapes software is the best one yet.

I like the simplicity of the 3shape platform. it's to the point and very user-friendly. the whole interface gives a very premium feel. The options are easily labelled, and right where they should be.

What do you dislike about 3Shape?

Overall the software is very well built and works smoothly. However, its a little expensive compared to the other solutions in the market. but the overall experience is better as well

Best part of 3shape is the ability to import trios scans directly into the design soft ware. This saves a lot of time, materials and cost.

Glitches in design software, default options are not always selected

3Shape has innovative tools, but lacks full-control and the perks of an open system

What do you like best about 3Shape?

Automatic symmetrical design, innovative tools, beautiful, simple, and clutter-free UI, a simple workflow. I love the automatic medial/distal contact feature.

What do you dislike about 3Shape?

The lack of control when morphing/free designing, the lack of a 'cut contact' feature, or a way to make the contacts flush without having to adjust every other tooth on the arch. There are also many many bugs.

Recommendations to others considering 3Shape?

I recommend using 3shape if you want an on-rails, simple, and fast way to pump out designs for large dental cases, like a full mouth restoration. If you want more control, to upload custom tooth libraries, or to have a more open system designing dental prosthetics, then I would consider a different software such as ExoCad.

What problems is 3Shape solving and how is that benefiting you?

3shape is really beneficial for designing full-mouth restorations, and keeping the process simple. The benefits are that it takes a fraction of the time to complete large restorations when compared to other dental design software.
