How easy it is to use the app, and how big is their database.
There are very few ASINs that do not sahow up when doing a Brand Search unfortunately, nothing significant.
Not all brand have a list of all their products being sold on Amazon.com, specially with third-party sellers creating multiple listings online. This tools allows you to search by a brand name and get 95% of all the ASINs active on Amazon.com. There are a few ASINs that go ubnder the radar when doing these type of search but

if you need to analyze brands and how much each brand can sell monthly, this is the best option.If we receiving price list from disctributor with 1000 items you dont have to spent time for finding each ASIN on Amazon .

Would be interesting to see if SS could ever just pre-populate a list of brands you should be trying to purchase...so my VA's job becomes "go get these products/brands/distributors because SS said they're good" the way JungleScout used to give you product niche's go enter
SmartScout helps me finds brands that I want to buy
The subcategory analysis is extremely helpful as we use the data export to identify top performers within a given subcategory, and determine how we can best innovate new products. I also like the latest "popping topics" section for a quick view of trending topics.
With popping topics, I wish it were easier to see a YoY view, or a comparison point. I find the keyword detective section a little glitchy, and I sometimes have a hard time finding the ASINs I'm looking for.
SmartScout is helping us identify new product opportunities in the marketplace, as well as validating the scale/opportunity sizing of those new products. It also helps us analyze the subcategories in which we compete, and see how our competition is performing.

Not much, to be honest. It would work even better if it was available for smaller marketplaces like Amazon UAE and Australia, but they do offer Canada, UK, India, and most in Europe. Can't have it all!
Searching Amazon's catalogue based on my criteria to find profitable opportunities. Especially when I am looking into specific brands. When working with suppliers, chances are that they have access to a full brand, and so it's nice to be able to look up the whole brand and then take that back to the supplier.
I like the robust features that opens the door for us in helping us grow our business. What we've done the manual way for so many years is now mostly automated and reduces the amount of time dramatically in how we source for brands and products. Increasing our ROI by over 1,000% at least!
I don't know what I don't know. I'm sure there's a feature that could be introduced, but I couldn't tell you what it is. Although the UPC scanner isn't something we use much, that part of the software could use improvement to extend the amount of UPCs to scan and fix some of glitches. But it's not large part of what we do, so I don't consider it to be an issue that serious for us.
Helping us automate the process of sourcing brands and products that we can sell on the Amazon platform. This program has allowed us to increase our productivity dramatically and make it easier for our ninjas to perform their magic.
The ability to find wholesalers was so helpful. We can find brands we loved to sell and find suppliers to help us acheive our sales goals. Smartscout has all the tools we are looking for as sellers. Calculators, scanners to find the products quick and easy. Supplier list /search tool to help you contact authorized suppliers of the products you are trying to sell. They even integrated AI into their software to help with listings.
The only downside I can see is the cost vs some other software but over all I think they are at a great price for all the tools this software provides. It's a downside because if you are a new seller it would be hard to to make it at this price point.
They are solving a huge guesing game of where do I need to search to find profitable products. They have helped make my listings better with their new AI integration.
The ability to sort the data I need and write comments on different sellers. It is a great tool for finding and reaching out to Amazon Sellers as a service provider.
Version that allows you to download data costs more than basic plan. Otherwise, it is excellent.
Smartscout is an excellent tool for prospecting from a service provider perspective.
