Gartner Predicts Increased Adoption of Mobile-Centric Biometric Authentication and SaaS-Delivered IAM
Gartner, Inc. predicts that 70 percent of organizations using biometric authentication for workforce access will implement it via smartphone apps, regardless of the endpoint device being used before 2022 though this figure is fewer than 5 percent now. Dropbox acquires HelloSign for $230M, putting it in e-signature competition with DocuSign and Adobe
Dropbox is jumping into the e-signature market with a major acquisition of HelloSign, a document signing and workflow company for $230 million. Dropbox is mostly associated with file storing and sharing, but the acquisition expands the company’s reach and puts it in competition with companies like DocuSign and Adobe. Read more
 

AWS and Microsoft reap most of the benefits of expanding cloud market
While it appears that overall economic activity could be slowing down, one area that continues to soar is the cloud business. Microsoft Azure's cloud growth was flat from the previous quarter, it still grew a healthy 76 percent with $9.4 billion in revenue. Meanwhile, AWS, Amazon's cloud division, grew 46 percent to $7.4 billion. Read more
