About Treadl

Treadl is a digital platform that enables users to host their projects and draft their weaving patterns. Users can also join weaving communities and discover what others making. Treadl organizes patterns into projects by consolidating various files such as images, text, and other types. Every project receives a unique address that users can share with others whenever required. Users can select whether their projects are open-source, which permits visitors to export the source WIF files of client’s patterns for them to download and use in their own projects. Projects can contain any mixture of file types such as images, text files, and others. Treadl is compatible with other weaving tools that support the Weaving Information File (WIF) standard. This pertains that if any clients use Fiberworks, pixeLoom, WeaveIt, or other software for developing their patterns or for interacting with their loom, then Treadl has the ability to import and export patterns to easily fit into their workflows.
